I agree with you on the need for perspective. There should definitely be more respect for human life, and stiffer sentences for murderers(abortionists, molestors, etc). They should burn. I don't see it happening in this sick society. In fact respect for human life is being lessened by the minute in this sick sad world.
I believe also that people who harm animals for no purposeful reason should get stiff puishment. Unfortunately, the same society that is trying to devalue human life has chosen putting animal life on a par with that of humans as one of their means of doing so. It's not the animal's fault.
It goes without saying, amongst any decent people, that it is heinous to value an animal life over that of a human. But after that is said and believed,it is heinous to gratuitously harm an animal. From such a mindset, that thinks nothing of inflicting harm on an innocent life,we get serial killers.
Not arguing with you at all-just "piggybacking" off your post to segue into my own point:)
Maybe they should have a pictionary for those little symbols, as I am not up to speed on all of them!
S'okay, I see some doozies here-I wish I was so creative and had thought of them!
Awesome...it's like the equestrian answer to a bicycle built for two, but I'll bet finding tack for that ride is hell....
Well, they're always arguing about which way to go :~D
Well thats for faith to decide.
I have to admit, that I myself also make some distinctions between animals that man has domesticated and taught to live with us-such as dogs, and horses-and wild animals. I make further distinctions between animals such as bunny rabbits, and a venomous snake or a bull shark. I don't believe in going out of my way to harm any of them, and never sadistically-no matter what I think of a particular animal, there is my own mental health to think of,and sadism isn't a good sign of a healthy mentality-but I have no problem with killing a dangerous animal in a setting where it could hurt me or another human,or my dogs.
Well, was it YOUR cow?
susie
Moreover, the dog lived.
Many child molesters and rapists get out of prison in far less time than that. These overzealous judges need to be put on a short leash.
However, coming out of L.A. county, I'm not surprised by the sentence.
Nope, the thing just wandered in my pasture so....... :-)
Step right up folks, and see the amazing Ursa, the bearded two-legged dog monster!
She has no body! Just two legs and a very unhappy look on her face ('cause her weird Mom made her wear this stupid hat.)
Wasn't life hard enough without the hat? :~)
Uh oh...russlin' ;)
susie
Amen to that!
Re your post 15, now do you think that if this judge could make this sentence (and it sticks), don't you think that he is acting within the law? Your cows are anothing matter, don't you think?
I have an entire series, action shots if you will, of her taking the hat off with her paw and then taking the hat to her 'lair' for a disposal.
A very appropriate sentence in my opinion. Now, if judges would just hand down that hard a sentence when criminals abuse children, the world would be a much better place.
