FLORIDA RIGHT TO LIFE ENDORSES TOM GALLAGHER
ORLANDO - Tom Gallagher, Floridas Chief Financial Officer and candidate for the Republican nomination for Governor, today received the endorsement of the Florida Right to Life. This endorsement recognizes Gallaghers pro-life record and his support of Republican values.
I am humbled and honored to receive the endorsement and support from the Florida Right to Life. Jeb Bush has been a leader in enacting pro-life legislation into law, said Tom Gallagher. As Governor, I will continue to enact pro-life initiatives like a 24 hour waiting period before a doctor can perform an abortion.
The Florida Right to Life Committee's Political Action Committee is endorsing Tom Gallagher for Governor because Tom Gallagher respects and values all human life, and is committed to defending life at both its beginning and end, said Carrie Eisnaugle, At Large Director of the Florida Right to Life PAC. The Florida Right to Life Committee PAC believes that Tom Gallagher's convictions are consistent with the core values of the Florida Right to Life Committee and is confident that he will aid FRTL in its continued efforts to limit the number of abortions in the state of Florida.
Tom Gallagher is the only candidate for Governor of Florida who is running a campaign consistent with the core values of the Republican Party. Tom Gallagher is pro-life and will advocate for laws to limit the number of abortions in Florida. Tom Gallagher will work to encourage and increase the number of adoptions in our state through expanding the One Church One Child Program and opposes efforts to allow gay adoption.
FRTL PAC is the largest pro-life PAC in the state. FRTL PAC educates candidates on the issues of abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia and can help pro-life candidates to clearly articulate their position on the issues and can provide information for the public.
Since announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Governor Tom Gallagher has held 170 Talk with Tom town hall-style events. Gallagher is the only candidate to announce five major policy proposals dealing with Family, Public Safety, Tort Reform, Economy and Education. His clear and conservative policy proposals to expand and improve upon the achievements of Jeb Bush have won him the endorsement of Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Congressman Dave Weldon, M.D., former Republican Governor Bob Martinez, the three immediate past-chairs of the Republican Party of Florida Al Cardenas, Tom Slade, and Van Poole, 28 Republican legislators, 650 conservative community leaders, and more than 2665 grassroots volunteer leaders.
Texas bump Julie!
Florida appreciates your Texas Bump!
Thankyou Julie!
You are for Charlie because he can win, so you support Gay adoptions, civil unions, and the 25 billion in taxes necessary to fund the class size amendment? You call that a victory?
Could be. I know that two full months ago I was at a gun show in Ft. Myers and there was Charlie, meetin' and a-greetin' in that major style that he's known for, and the NRA fellows there were already behind him 100%. I'd rather not name names.
If Gallagher is preparing a "detailed statement on guns" I would love to see it. We'll give it it's own thread. $:-)
All feeders at the public trough. No Thanks. Gallagher has held just about every govt. position in the state. While Christ has been in gov quite a while as well, but these insider endorsements are nauseating. I want endorsements from people who actually work for a living and meet a payroll.
Joe, Camp Gallagher has replied. Freepmail me so I can get the document to you via regular email.
I think Gallagher is more conservative, and therefore would make a better Gov. than Crist. Crist seems to be devious on issues such as gay marriage, unless I'm missing something definitive that he's said about it.
(FYI: the web site conservative voice is where I found it. They probably thought they were helping Crist but, oops.
Conservative Voice also printed allegations against Gallagher but didn't post that Gallagher was totally cleared even after I sent them documentation from the ethics committee.
"I think Gallagher is more conservative, and therefore would make a better Gov. than Crist. Crist seems to be devious on issues such as gay marriage, unless I'm missing something definitive that he's said about it."
I agree, and Crist is devious about his positions. I'm practically positive that Crist is also in favor of gay adoption.
Also, here's an excerpt from a link, in case you didn't see it:
Social conservatives who support Gallagher, such as Orlando lawyer John Stemberger, say Crist is not a true conservative because of his stands on abortion, gay marriage, gambling and the Schiavo case.
"Charlie Crist is a conservative impostor," Stemberger writes in an article on the Human Events Online Web site.
Stemberger says the choice between Gallagher and Crist puts Florida at a moral crossroads in 2006, just as California was when Reagan left for the White House and liberals led that state into a culture of "abortion, drug use, divorce, crime and school dropouts."
For evidence, Stemberger points to a vote Crist made as a state senator when he sided with Democrats to defeat a bill requiring a 24-hour abortion waiting period.

Tom Gallagher sounds like he's for all the right things...
Yep....Tom Gallagher is the right man with the right ideas and right stuff to follow JEB!
Sounds like Crist would be a step backward for FL, a move to the left with more government involvement in private enterprise, too much state gov't spending, and the possibility of higher taxes. If Crist is in favor of gays adopting children and gay marriage, then he ought to move to Massachusetts.
ORLANDO Dennis Baxley, State Representative and Chair of the Social Conservatives for Gallagher Steering Committee, today participated in a statewide conference call of several high profile social conservative leaders on topics ranging from abortion and adoption to the marriage amendment and the expansion of gambling. The Social Conservatives for Gallagher are continuing to build grassroots support for Tom Gallaghers campaign among values voters in the upcoming election.
I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support we have received from Floridas families and social conservatives. Our next Governor must have a clear and concise vision to expand on Jeb Bushs conservative leadership of our state, said Tom Gallagher. I have taken clear stands and laid out specific policy proposals on social conservative issues such as same sex marriages, abortion and adoption. As Governor, I will continue to stand on our conservative principles and values.
Florida needs a governor who will take a strong stand for Floridas families. The only acceptable candidate for governor is Tom Gallagher, said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. He is the only candidate who has consistently and unequivocally taken pro-family positions on abortion, same-sex marriage and homosexual adoption.
Tom Gallagher is the only candidate for Governor of Florida who is running a campaign consistent with the core values of the Republican Party. Tom Gallagher is pro-life and will advocate for laws to limit the number of abortions in Florida. Tom Gallagher will work to encourage and increase the number of adoptions in our state through expanding the One Church One Child Program, and opposes gay adoption. Moreover, Tom Gallagher is the only candidate for governor with a 100% pro-life voting record and who has been consistent in his support for an amendment to Floridas constitution defending marriage as the union between a man and a woman.
The Republican Party needs a candidate that upholds the principle that every human being, born or unborn, young or old, healthy or disabled, has a fundamental, individual right to life. There is no question that Tom Gallagher is the right candidate to defend our values, said Barbara Collier, Chairman of the Broward Christian Coalition. As a father and a family man, Tom has stood with us to defend innocent life, oppose the redefinition of marriage and promote the values that make our families stronger.
The social conservative leaders (Organizations listed are for identification purposes only) participating on todays call are as follows:
Dennis Baxley, State Representative; John Stemberger; Anita Staver, Liberty Counsel; Carole Griffin, Eagle Forum; Barbara Collier, Reclaiming America; Bob Touchston, Florida Right to Life; Pam Olsen, Bush-Cheney 04
Other Social Conservative leaders who are supporting Tom Gallagher but were unable to participate on todays conference call:
Susan Cutaia, Citizens for Science and Ethics; Pat Neal, Chairman of the Board for the Christian Colition of Florida; Mat Staver, Liberty Counsel
