Govt stooges always take care of each other. After the noise quiets down they'll find a nice quiet govt job for him.

Unless of course he gets his mitts on all the Big Dig documents currently secured by Fat Matt.

There will be something in there that gets Fat Matt indicted. He will sing like a canary, which will start a torrent of names and vested interests.

Events will begin sooner than people expect.

Howie Carr will have sufficient material for two years worth of daily programming.

I'll bet there are thousands and thousands of documents missing on this project. To say nothing of scrubbed hard drives.

..............and how many lives lost....? including that poor lady who was recently crushed to death, were there any other construction-related deaths associated with this bloated, taxpayer-funded boondoggle....??

I will agree with you but there are also certain items that were retained for hmmm! "insurance purposes".

However, Romney cannot trust Tom Reilly to ferret out all the miscreants...the first move will have to be an independent investigator.

An indie investigator? Now that'll be fun.

Who's Mitt likely to appoint to that job?

The whole mess is just too big to be dealt with. Nobody will really pay the price ('cept the taxpayer of course).

Correct, Amarello is just a sacrificial lamb. All the designs and most of the construction occurred before he came to office.

Amarello has culpability to spare. The tragedy with the poor woman who was killed was not one of those things that could have been prevented if everyone had done his job, it was one of those things that could have been prevented if anyone had done his job.

Prior to (and surprisingly after) the tragedy, Amarello made affirmative statements, like, "The tunnel is safe." He has a legal and moral responsibility not to make such statements without a reasonable basis. I content that due to gross negligence on his part he was in no position to make any such statement, and the statement was manifestly untrue.

If you're last name is not Kennedy, and if you brother was not an assassinated president, gross negligence resulting in the death of another is the legal definition of manslaughter.

Does this guy have a name?

Besides having to give up a cushy government job which I am sure pays more than is necessary and has full pension benefits from scamming the federal government out of billions for a mismanaged project, what else is being done to make the people involved in the Big Dig be accountable for the waste of money and the death of the woman killed recently by falling debris?

How much will this guy actually give up when it is all said and done and how much will he get paid off to take the fall for this?

I would be very skeptical about getting answers to these questions.

Your guess is as good as mine. It would have to be a Democrat and an honest one.....my perfect storm candidate would be Joe Lieberman after he is tossed out of the Democratic Party. Now that would deserve a TV channel on its own.

Why would Romney keep a corrupt Democrat like Amarello around for so long and permit so much damage to be done?

My understanding is there are a number of criminal investigations being conducted including one by the AG and another by the fed.

Not construction-related, but a guy had a heart attack at Logan, and with the traffic jams because of the closed tunnels, he was dead by the time the ambulance got to the hospitall.

The real villain is Parsons Brinkerhof who had overall design responsibility. Every subcontractor found out PB were arrogant, refused to listen to advice and feedback, and routinely over-ruled the construction guys who pointed out the flaws.

FINALLY!!!! Someone else who knows what the hell was REALLY going on. Everyone likes to blame the contractors, when all along is was B/PB who was the real schmucks up there!
