BOLTON HEARING LIVE ON C-SPAN 3
LOL. Car chase on FNC.
Voinovich repenting... bigtime.
Voinovich: The budget cap was lifted. Specifically what is the status of management reform that Kofi Annan suggested. What he recommended pretty much recommended what George Mitchell, Paul Voulker, Newt Gingrich recommended. The proposals were blocked by the G77. Can we achieve goals now that cap lifted?
Now the cap is lifted, what kind of cooperation are we going to get from tehse 50 countries to move forward with these reforms which are necessary if the UN is to be successful.
OT: FNC showing high speed chase so the world is once again a safe place.
Isn't that ridiculous???
He has admitted he was wrong. IMO, that took some courage, and I respect him for it.
Nope...Voinivich kissing BUTT is more like it...LOL
Blast from the past:
"I know, some of my friends say, 'Let it go, George. It's going to work out,' "
Perhaps he let it go. ;)
That's my senator. Solid as a rock. LOL.
As I said before, I respect anyone who freely admits he was wrong.
Voinovich says someone has gained a lot of weight attending diplomatic dinners and lunchs. Expresses gratitude again to Bolton for his efforts.
FNC showing car chase must mean the Israel/Lebanon war is over??
NO fighting in Gaza??
Wow...whodda thunk?
I think the conflict must be over in the ME. Condi must have worked magic and we just didn't realize it.
Dodd is showing the weakness of the demo cause with that, isn't he? He should be embarrassed. But I suppose that will stick with the headline only readers who have no idea what/when on 1559.
Nah, more like Bolton's performance on the job has been so good.
The 'Rats keep running the same plays they ran against Bork and nominees today are more savvy than the former Judge.
I have to leave for an appointment; dang it.
IMO - no one laid a glove on Bolton and he'll be confirmed this time.
But I like to be judicious in my criticism of him, and make sure it's valid.
In this case, the turnaround was warranted, and I for one, very much appreciate it.
(btw, we called and e-mailed scathing criticisms of him when he came out against Bolton).
I know...WOW!
He has some major health issues, and that is the main reason. However, he realized that a campaign against Steele would not be a walkover..so he bailed out. Also, since if he was re-elected and then had to retire for health reasons, the governor names the replacement. Indicates that the Dems aren't confident they can beat Erlich. Most importantly, if Sarbanes thought the Dems had a chance of winning the Senate, he'd stick around for the opportunity to run a comittee...But it's no fun being in the minority..So, on balance..it's all positive for the GOP
