Hizbullah terrorist chief Hassan Nasrallah traveled to Syria late Wednesday night in a bulletproof vehicle, according to a Kuwait newspaper.
Nasrallah is expected to meet for talks with Syrian officials on Thursday to discuss developments in Hizbullahs war against Israel.
A number of the Katyusha rockets fired by the terrorists at northern Israeli cities have contained parts made in Syria.

I thought of putting this in Breaking News, but as there is only one (unnamed) source I decided against it.
Don't know what it means. Is he fleeing? Just playing with the Israeli's minds (ie not true)? Evidence that Israel does no control the roads between Syrian and Lebanon?
However, if he intends to return, there will be an ideal opportunity for the IAF.

Interesting, thanks.
I don't think he meant for the Israeli News Service to discover his movements.
Now that it is known he is there, I wonder if plans will change?

I don't believe he's fleeing, but the very fact he ran to Syria shows two things.
One : The IDF is getting the upper hand, and he has to know he's target #1.
Two : There can be absolutely no denial now that Hezbollah is a puppet of Syria / Iran.
Dumb move on his part...................

Why is it that those Muslims who encourage others to death and martyrdom and the "honor and glory" they will accrue, are afraid of dying themselves??
If those 72 virgins are such a big deal, why aren't cowards like bin Laden, Nasrallah, and Zawahiri trying to claim their fair share???

How in the world did he manage that ? I thought the Israelis were keep a close eye on all movement into and out of Lebanon. Wasn't that why the airport was taken out first ?
To: HarmlessLovableFuzzball
Nasrallah skedaddled at the first sign that the Israelis were going to attack. You think he might stick around and lead the fight? Who would dictate press coverage and UNIFIL reports?

The evil ones are out are up to something big. Possibly. We have the recent statement from the Iranian Mahdi Wannabe that he wants a 'ceasefire in Lebanon' now. Either we have called his bluff or something weird is up. How do you go from 'we will eliminate Israel' to 'we need a ceasefire' in just 2 days ? Could be his medication, but perhaps it is best to worry about the loons when they appear to be acting normal.
To: ScaniaBoy
iran put this out due to the rumor that nasalrallah was hold up in the iranian embassy in Beirut. I guess they did not want the Israelis to destroy their embassy, forcing them to show their (iran's) true cowardice!

Report: Nasrallah is in Damascus
By JPOST.COM STAFF AND AP
Hizbullah head Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah is currently in Damascus, the Kuwait based a-Siasa newspaper reported Thursday. Nasrallah was apparently taken to Damascus by Syrian intelligence for a series of meetings.
According to the report, Nasrallah is scheduled to meet with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani and perhaps with Syrian President Bashar Assad.
Meanwhile, al-Qaida's no. 2 leader on Thursday warned that the terrorist group would not stand idly by while "these (Israeli) shells burn our brothers" in Lebanon and Gaza.

Hhmm, if he's meeting with Assad that means Assad's controllers. More money? More arms? WMD's?
Looking forward to the outcome of this meeting. Thanks for the update!

According to the report, Nasrallah is scheduled to meet with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani and perhaps with Syrian President Bashar Assad. That would be more support for the theory that Hezbollha and thus Hamas were told by Iran to create a diversion from Iran's nuclear ambitions. Perhaps Ali now wants to know how close Iran is and has the pounding Hezbollha been taking been worthwhile ?

Correction - Perhaps Nazrallha now wants to know how close Iran is and has the pounding Hezbollha been taking been worthwhile ?

Seems like an opportune time to bomb a little in Damascas.

In a taped message broadcast by al-Jazeera television, Ayman al-Zawahri, second in command to Osama bin Laden, said al-Qaida now saw "all the world as a battlefield open in front of us."
It seems to me as though Zawahiri has opened the door to all out war on Islam and its terrorists. I say we take them up on their word and take'em out. If we don't conduct pre-emptory strikes on them and their facilities, as sure as i am typing this, they will conduct them on us.
