Good thing this wasn't the San Francisco Chronical

They've got a whole different idea of what a "pony ride" is up there.

This aside,it seems like corporate America seems to be doing more and more of this kiddie BS to keep it's employees happy. Face painting for a bunch of 40 Somethings. We have our own business so I am not in that world, is it me?

A Los Angeles Times editor, hoping to give his journalists a break from reporting the often grim news in America's second-largest city, offered an unusual morale booster Monday: pony rides.

Says everything you need to know about LA Times reporting.

Like many major U.S. newspapers, the Times, forced to compete with news Web sites on the Internet that report the truth, has seen circulation decline.

There, fixed it!

Oh yeah, a real morale booster! Pony rides in the middle of a heat wave? No wonder they're sinking.

Poor journalists, at least they're just reporting the 'grim', not experiencing it...

Like many major U.S. newspapers, the Times, forced to compete with news Web sites on the Internet,... about 30 others rode three ponies and a horse during the noon lunch hour before the animals were put away to protect them from the heat.

Hey FR doesn't offer pony rides, especially in 100% noonday heat.. The phony ba$tards think that killing a couple of ponies to heatstroke will enhance perverted employee moral.. On second thought it just might.. Never mind.. :)

To say the least.

Gn 22:17 your descendants shall take possession of the gates of their enemies

Newspaper sale$ decline should be blamed on the Journos

. . .

People who work at journalism full time ought to be able to do a better job of it than people for whom it is a hobby. But that's not going to happen as long as we "professional" journalists ignore stories we don't like and try to hide our mistakes. We think of ourselves as "gatekeepers." But there is not much future in being a gatekeeper when the walls are down.

Aw jeez, what a bunch of idiots! Grownups doing pony rides? Even my kids would pity and despise them.

Probably had 'em snubbed fore and aft to the hot walker so they couldn't run off . . . poor ponies!
