"...the tragic loss of a soldier yesterday who I happen to know and I think probably is from my Regiment. We've received e-mails from him a few days ago and he described the fact that he was taking within - in one case - three meters of his position "for tactical necessity - not being targeted". Now that's veiled speech in the military and what he was telling us was Hizbullah fighters were all over his position and the IDF were (sic) targeting them and that's a favorite trick by people who don't have representation in the UN. They use the UN as shields knowing that they can't be punished for it."

Hezzbolah was using the site as cover and the Israelis knew it and took it out. The Israelis were justified in taking it out. Also note how little was said a while ago when a UN post INSIDE ISRAEL was destroyed by Hezbollah Rocketry. The UN is pro Shiite, which is why they need to be run out of the region by NATO.

MacKenzie further took issue with the misleading reportage (citing CNN in particular) that suggests that Beirut is being bombarded by the IDF and that the city is in ruins. He said that the bombing is no where near the saturation levels that constitute a bombardment and the IAF have specifically targetted a twelve-block area that is, more-or-less, Hezbollah City, and only after dropping leaflets warning civilians to vacate well in advance of the planned airstrikes.

I read on another post that the flags of both the UN and the Hizbullah flew side-by-side and they also share water and other supplies with each other. What's with that? Sorry to hear about the Canadian, but, I'd target and bomb the sh*t out of that building also!
