Norm's a Republican.

He won the seat vacated by Paul Wellstone's death in 2002.

Senator Coleman is a Republican, I don't know about his dad's party affiliation would be or if it would matter.

Not sure how conservative a Republican he is. But It was good to see him beat Mondale after the Democrats held a party at Wellstone's funeral.
