I've written a lot about my disdain for Condi's support of a Palestinian terror state. Here are some excerpts:

Every reader knows by now that I don't hide my disdain for the current Secretary of State Condi Rice. Her vociferous advocating of a Palestinian Hamas terror state in the midst of the war on terror, along with other appeasement policies in regard to Iran, have really rattled my nerves as a "red meat conservative". Well, it looks like other major conservatives are now calling for her removal. Here is an article from Insight Magazine that reports about major conservatives such as Richard Perle, Newt Gingrich, and top aids to Cheney and Rumsfeld calling for Bush to remove Miss Rice from the State Dep't. Newt explained his position, "We are sending signals today that no matter how much you provoke us, no matter how viciously you describe things in public, no matter how many things you're doing with missiles and nuclear weapons, the most you'll get out of us is talk. Also, "Condi was sent to rein in the State Department, a senior congressional staffer said, "instead she was reined in".

The article goes on to say, "the critics said Miss Rice has adopted the approach of Mr. Burns and the State Department bureaucracy that most if not all problems in the Middle East can be eased by applying pressure on Israel. They said even as Hezbollah was raining rockets on Israeli cities and communities, Miss Rice was on the phone nearly every day demanding that the Israeli government of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert exercise restraint." This article has confirmed my fears about the Clintonian foreign policy of Miss Rice.

Rice has just met with arch terrorist Mahmoud Abbas. She announced that she expects two states to exist side by side. So lets get this straight. She meets with Arafat's top deputy and demands the creation of a Palestinian terror state in the midst of a war that was triggered by these very Clintonian suicidal policies of concessions and appeasement that she is advocating once again! She is actually calling for a Hamas state! Also, keep in mind that Abbas, besides for being out of power and irrelevant is just as much of a terrorist as Hamas. He is the head of Fatah which fields the Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades, which is based in Syria. So this guy who was the top aid of Hitler in a headscarf and who has ties ti Syrian terrorists is able to have a cordial audience with an American Sec. of State?! And by the way, nobody has ever explained to me how it is geographically possible to create two states (in an area the size of New Jerzey) without breaking one in half? Only one of them can be contiguous

It sounds like a good idea. She is quite a naif. She calls Islam a religion of peace and love.

Sad, but true.

Ol' George got rid of one incompetent - the treasonous Powell - only to give Rice the job, and watch her foul it up.

Most importantly, she doesn't understand the job. It's her job to coordinate the tools of statecraft to achieve US foreign policy objectives.

I don't see that happening.

The problems facing the nation are relatively few, and those that are not important must be ignored. Focus on the crazed mullahs and kill them when you get a chance.

At her disposal, the Secretary of State has the world's most powerful military, economy, and citizenry. Where is the comprehensive plan to use these resources?

She wanders around the world, and the nation, saying whatever comes into her little-bitty head.

I'd hoped for better, but it's just not happening.

Fire her.

Rather full of your own importance aren't you, having only been a member for 20 days? I for one had never heard of you and don't recollect reading any of your posts/threads.
If they're all like the one above, that's explains everything. You sound like one of the plants/trolls who were given instructions how to embed themselves in right-wing forums and cause trouble to me.

Leave Condi alone.

You've really got to be a fool if you think Condi Rice isn't reflecting EXACTLY what the President wants!

Insight mag has become a stinking pile of dog crap. They obviously know nothing of the MASSIVE changes Rice has made at the State Dept. This is just a stupid, stupid article.

You know...there is a certain thing called timing. Three months ago this wouldn't have hurt them, but they choose to do this now?

Condi Rice is not John Bolton by nature.

Granted.

But, have any of these people noticed how she's been handling the Israeli/Hezbollah war lately? Pretty effective. Of course her first instinct was to rein them in, it took a directive from Bush to allow the Israeli's to move forward. But can it be denied she's being pretty damn effective since being given the order not to accept a ceasefire that's not a ceasefire?

Condi's clearly qualified to do the job. She's proving it daily. Their main complaint is that her natural inclination wasn't to do as she is doing now. Well, fine, I accept that and it's one reason I wouldn't rank her high as an '08 prospect. But G.W.B. is not going to remove a close friend that's competent in what she does.

They should instead being laying groundwork to make the current rhetoric and action be default policy, rather then status quo. And that is easily accomplished by convincing G.W.B. to detail that change to her. She isn't going to undermine him. Under directive she'd respond daily the next two and a half years as she is doing right now.

Really bad timing on their part, and really bad solution to the problem.

IOW: 'No one diplomatic to lead our diplomatic corps!!!!' LOL!

Here's an old American diplomat you would approve of though:

"WILLIAM EATON...
was appointed, in 1797, consul to Tunis. Besides attending to the ordinary
duties of consul, he was authorized, in connection with the consuls of Algiers and Tripoli, to alter a treaty which a Frenchman by the name of Famin- acting as United States agent- had made with the Bey of Tunis.

...he horsewhipped Famin in the public streets"

I agree if by "Dump Her" you mean "free her up" to start campaigning for Pres.

Go CONDI 2008

The State Dept. Sucks. The Institution is wimpy in general. I'm not sure how Condi could fix that short of abolishing it. In Viet Nam the State Dept fought against the Defense Dept. Selling food to and building truck factories for the Communists in Russia who then used their money to finance the NVA.
