But, if she is indeed insane and did this, it shows that there is a problem in our society that does not see the danger BEFORE it means 5 children must die. Same as we do not see the danger of sexual child molesters and willfully allow them to snatch our children for their sexual gratification - which includes the murder of those children That husband lived with the woman, those relatives saw her with the children. You do not leave children with an insane person. Apparently, he too is mentally defective to ignore the dangers in his quest for his view of family life with no regard for the wishes of the wife. I put a great deal of blame on him as I feel he is one of those weird people that push their needs and desires above all else. We have all seen families ruled by the views of a husband who chooses to ignore the needs of the family. So, if mentally ill, there is nothing going on but a powder keg being stoked. She apparently had no ability to handle the demands being placed on her and a husband that chose to ignore her or provide solutions.

Did he not take her numerous times to get extended mental health treatment and counseling before she committed murder?

And if he or other husbands had gone the next step forward and had her/their wives institutionalized, the same husband-bashers here on FR would be speculating about how cruel and evil he is/they are for getting the inconvenient wife out of the way, and how he obviously must be having an affair. And then wander over to whine on the threads about how men these days are putting off and avoiding marriage.

Sheesh.

Yes he took her to seek help ... but why did he keep planting his seed in this wretch when he HAD to have known that she was losing her grip on reality and sanity? It's not a case of husband bashing. I'm a husband and I don't like to be bashed. It's seeking the answer to what IMHO is a very relevant question here.

Hate to admit it, but you are right.

That and our constitution prevent our society doing anything BEFORE the tragedy. Crazy people and sexual child molesters have constitutional rights.
