The Dems are using this event to undermine support for the war and demean Bush. I don't understand how anyone could expect Maliki to condemn Hezbullah. It would be political and perhaps real suicide. Many Iraqi government officials have been assassinated. They are accused of being puppets of the US and Israel by the insurgents and AQ.
Does any freeper know if Arafat ever addressed Congress? Has every guest speaker to the Congress supported Israel?
Yeltsin, King Hussein, Mandela, and Karzai have spoken before Congress, but not Arafat.
