Today, President Bush welcomed Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki in the Oval Office at the White House, and together they held a joint press availability in the East Room, speaking of a plan to increase the military presence and quell the violence in Baghdad.

Later today, the President met with Minni Arcua Minnawi, the Sudan Liberation Army (SLA) leader in the Oval Office to discuss the Darfur region in western Sudan.

You're right about the inner peace and joy, dmd.

It comes from the Lord, and it radiates from his face..........and sometimes his shoulders as well. :)

It's just so..............intimate, apples.

I think that's why I love it so much.

In their own little world, they are. And they're giving us just a little peek.

That was one of the greatest days on which I've had the honor of posting the DOSE, kitkat.

It still makes me smile to think of the President's courage and commitment, not to mention stealth.

It was quite the day, wasn't it? Almost as good as Thanksgiving of 2003...........but not quite. :)

What a vote of confidence he gave to that fledgling democracy that day.

Real leadership...........and a touch of chutzpah. :)

he doesn't have access to a computerComputer? What is a computer? Oh yes it is the year 2006. This amazing new technology. I must get used to it. When I was in the service we had to wait for the mail boat and we got mail about every two months. I have trouble imagining what it is like to be young today.

The family is well.

Daughter still in England studying, sons, by circumstance both happen to be in Virginia right now........very strange! And youngest daughter has a VERY cool summer job and is right here at home.

As usual, me and Mr. Oh are getting on famously, and are approaching a landmark anniversary (proving that we were married before the age of 10. ;)

LOL! When Eric was in Baghdad, we could talk on the phone an average of once every two weeks, and he could e-mail us occasionally.

And THAT was at the beginning of the war when everything was primitive. Things are much better now.

Technology is an amazing thing, tom.
