In July 2006, issuing his first-ever presidential veto, Bush insisted there was no need for further research with embryonic stem cells because adult stem cells could do the trick. Wrong again. True, adult stem cells are very valuable, and are being used to treat some forms of cancer and certain bone and blood disorders. But because they are already fully formed, they have very limited applicability. Only embryonic stem cells have the capacity to form whatever tissues lung, kidney, heart or liver medical scientists need to work on a cure.
This is his latest piece of filth. Does this guy ever do any research before he writes?
