US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice salutes a US Marine as she walks towards a helicopter upon her departure from Beirut after meeting with Lebanese officials.
No as far as I can make ou from the Swedish news it was close to the blue triangle marked Khyam (or similar). Not even certain it was Indian troops - according to Dagens Nyheter the personnel consisted of Austrians, one Chinese, one Canadian and one Finn. All unarmed officers - not part of the UNIFIL but a UN observer group.
I believe they do have some missiles that can reach 120 miles or so.
What makes you believe they don't have missles capable of hitting Tel Aviv?
"In Rome, Kofi Annan, the UN secretary-general, said he was shocked at Israel's "apparently deliberate targeting" of a UN post in Lebanon."
He went on to say that the UNIFL doesn't do anything. Why would anyone target a group of goof-offs? s/
You can bet the heads of the Hezboli are drinking tea and smoking hash in Tehran. The midlevel and grunts are going to die, which is nice.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Shalom Israel
I think Hez. has hit a hornet's nest and is trying to figure out what they need to do to stop Israeli advancement. If they don't pull the trigger on this 2nd phase then they're in much hurt. This is coming as Israel is about to open up the eastern front.
I hope it's bluster.
Aren't the Zsa Zsa's vulnerable to the Patriot batteries scattered about the country?
I am worried that they CAN do more...like chem tipped weapons to Tel Aviv or farther.
According to unsubstantiated Lebanese Army sources one Finn, one Austrian, one Chinese and one Canadian killed.

Catching up on last 100 posts - great tagline!
Koffi Pot just said Israel needs to be investigated for deliberately targeting the UN troops.
