As for the Mother having her eyes off the child, how long are we talking? The mirrors in my Walmart are close to the bedding section. So, she looks up, grabs a stack of towels to put in the cart and BAM! Little Joey is dead.
You have to look at what you're buying when you're shopping, otherwise, you come out with a cart full of nothing you went in for.
