Hezbollah terrorists fire a missile from the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.
They're threatening to. They clearly don't like being out of the limelight. They've been threatening Baghdad.
We'll see...

Annan asks to extend UNIFIL mission by one month
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan issued a report on Monday asking that the mandate of the UN mission along the Blue Line be extended for another month after its current expiration date of July 31.
Lebanon had asked that the mission be extended by six months, but Annan said in the report that because of the violence, "a return to the status quo ante does not appear feasible."
I don't know what they are doing except aiding the Hez.
Ah, yes. B5 would be a great improvement over most any current "serious" show. But I'd point out that G'Kar had a major enlightening courtesy of the Vorlons & turned into a strong "good guy", whereas it took, what, a couple seasons at least to dispose of Morden (ends up with his head on a pike, as I recall!)
Best / most believable sci-fi show ever made. Hard to believe the guy who wrote it has some of the views he espouses. And too bad Delenn is a fictional character -- would love to see her light into some of these current network nitwits! (As she in effect does, in a late season 5 episode.)
No new thread yet? I must be early?
Good morning BTW. Hope temperature is comfortable and natives in good mood.
:-)
From 2002
According to Israeli and Western officials, Hezbollah has accumulated 8,000 to 9,000 Katyusha rockets, with a range of about 12 miles. But in the past year, Israeli officials have begun to warn that Iran is also providing longer-range systems, including the 240-millimeter Fajr-3 missile, with a range of about 25 miles and the 333-millimeter Fajr-5 missile, with a range of about 45 miles, meaning it could strike the northern Israeli city of Haifa, and areas to the south, from southern Lebanon. Israeli officials say that Hezbollah has several hundred Fajr rockets. American officials have acknowledged that Hezbollah has the Fajr systems, but have been cautious in specifying how many the group controls.
Syria has also begun to provide 222-millimeter rockets, which have a range of 12 to 18 miles, according to an Israeli security official, who said it was a new development.

Thanks. A/C is cranking away. ;-)
A plan of attack.
Looks like a nail to me...
(For non Goon show aficionados.....attack = a tack)
I read that the Iraqis were moving more boots to Baghdad. Stay safe.
I can't help but wonder how the war in Lebanon would have played out if we weren't in Iraq and Afganistan. I think that is playing a role in keeping Syria out of this. I wonder if the kook in Iran is waiting to get two bombs completed. He may pull a "Pakistan" and test one to let everyone know he has the capability.
With the French, too.
OK thanks. :o)
Good evening. We still have the morning cool here and so far, it has been quiet today. :-)
Sweet dreams! :-)
Good to hear.
(Since I'm only sitting two time zones to the west of you it is morning here in Stockholm.)
".....but after closely listening, you are correct. Arab governments... not OUR government."
The statement would have been difficult, if not impossible, to discern if you hadn't posted the video. Thanks again!
Make sure you see posts #1693 and #1721. Also, piasa's posts on Mugniyeh's background provide insight.
