Fire and Ice
Journalists have warned of climate change for 100 years, but can’t decide weather we face an ice age or warming

http://www.businessandmedia.org/specialreports/2006/fireandice/fireandice.asp

This is an outstanding study on the reporting on climate change. First it was Cooling (1920s), then Warming (1930s), then Cooling again (1970s), now we are back to Warming. The study claims the Government spends about $4B per year on climate change research. Anyone interested in feedback loops can contemplate the interaction between: A) News Industry, B) Readers/Voters, C) Government (1 Politicians, and 2 Bureaucracy), D) Researchers (1 Government agencies, 2 Universities, etc.). $4B/annum can buy a lot of action/interaction.

There is a two page Executive Summary, followed by the 16 page study. There is duplication between the two. For me, it’s easier to ignore the executive summary and simply read the article.
