Pay Raiser Stetler Resigns......95th District State Representative Steve Stetler is resigning, effective September 29th..............it is no secret that Stetler was a House member who supported the pay raise, took it and didn't return the money when the raise was repealed...........

Central School Superintendent Says She Was 'Misunderstood'...........When the Central York School Superintendent Dr. Linda Estep, made comments about a state law requiring the district to build a new pool in a planned addition to its high school, I suggested an investigation as to the truth of that comment.

The "York Dispatch" got an answer from the Pennsylvania Department of Education where deputy press secretary Bryan McDonald says there is no such requirement............

Which kind of school boards ultimately cost the taxpayers more? The Dover "intelligent design" elected school board that leads administration or the Central-Dallastown typical York County school board where administration dictates policy..........

McCain Speaks At Big Money Fundraiser For Platts......

Likely Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain came to a private home in York (Friday July 21st) for a thousand dollar a guest fundraising dinner for Congressman Todd Platts.

McCain praised Platts at a pre-dinner news conference. Platts supported the McCain-Feingold plan in 2001 and McCain spoke of Platts as a rising star in the Republican Party......

Previously a big fundraising event for Platts would be a 250 dollar a person event. This year anti-war college professor Phil Avillo is challenging Platts as the Democrat candidate. You should have posted the retirement benefits Smith, Piccola and Stetler are entitled to.

Smith $87,000.00 annually

Piccola $83,000.00 annually

Stetler $64,000.00 annually Not as much as the others, guess thats why he decided to keep the pay raise.

Stetler's a skunk; good riddance! Platts is another GOP-RINO chump for supporting the CFR crap. He's no rising star, and his time in office will be comparatively short, if a true Conservative runs against him.

Here's hoping you make "News and Notes from York County PA" a regular Friday or Saturday feature, N.

You've got FReepmail...
