But you never know. It might just work this time around. (Just kidding.)

IF the UN "kept the peace" in Lebanon for 30 years, why and how did Hizbollah end up with 13,000 rockets/missiles and Chinese SILKWORM missiles?

So, it would seem to me that while the U.N. was tasked to assist the government of Lebanon with achieving a monopoly on military forces within its borders, those U.N. "observers" could probably be hauled into Gitmo and tell us loads of stuff about the Iran-supplied missiles and reinforced-concrete bunkers acquired by Hezbolla in southern Lebanan, between 2000 and last week - WHILE THE U.N. OBSERVERS OBSERVED!!!!

30 years...
And the UN has been involved in the whole mess 60 years!
Looks like were about where they started.
From their website:
"After looking at various alternatives, the UN proposed the partitioning of Palestine into two independent States, one Palestinian Arab and the other Jewish, with Jerusalem internationalized (Resolution 181 (II) of 1947).

For more on UNIFIL and how its aided and abetted Hezbollah, I direct folks who haven't been yet over to today's live thread on events in the Middle East. Links there show just what UNIFIL's been up to over the years. And it AIN'T peacekeeping.

Their record is intact.
Everywhere they have had a peace keeping mission they have protected the forces of terrorism and evil so they could make war on the innocent.
This is the most useless, evil,anti- God, anti-freedom, anti-peace, soulless, depraved, most corrupt, totally Satan conceived,self-serving government organization on this planet since the beginning of creation to date.

Just what is this article claiming? Is that hezbollah have enjoyed the protection of the UN for the last 26 years while they ammassed arms?

"UN forces are needed there to bring the warring sides apart and kick-start negotiations." -
Yevgeny Primakov Primakov said Israel's actions in Lebanon had gone "beyond the scope of a purely anti-terrorist operation" because it was destroying the country's infrastructure - not just that of Hizbollah - and its air raids had claimed many civilian lives.
Primakov also voiced alarm at Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's allegations that Iran had provoked the hostilities to divert world leaders' attention from its controversial nuclear program during last weekend's Group of Eight summit near St. Petersburg.
"There is a dangerous trend toward escalation behind Olmert's statements."

That $100 million per annum might just as well have been put in the shredder for all the good it and the 'un' has done. For weeks now I've been taxing my brain trying to think of one positive thing the 'un' has accomplished and I'm still coming up blank.
