Foxnews Alert!
So you are saying that Christianity is not antisemitic, but believing in its basic tenets is?
Does this make sense to you?
And might I make one request of you, and anyone who shares your opinions?
Don't EVER compare a solid belief in Christian doctrine with Islamists, or Islamofascism.
Even if you take it back later on, it leaves a deep stain.
Those who believe in and follow Scripture, in Christ, are the least anti-semitic people on the face of the earth. And we stand solidly behind Israel at this moment in time.
Don't know if it had any effect.
There is no comparison whatsoever here, other than the fact that the Coalition Forces in Iraq and the IDF are both fighting against the same evil enemy.
The two situations are entirely different.

Those things which require thinking with any subtlety find tough sledding here.
"Um, Iran doesn't have any refineries. They import all the gasoline they use."
Au Contraire.

"Iran has refineries, just not many. Preventing refined gasoline from coming into Iran should not pose a major problem."

Psalm 91
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the *fowler And from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation."
Let it ever be so, LORD, Amen!

You are STILL incorrect, though the removal of the hate-filled 'anti-semitic' charge is appreciated.
I, as a Christian, have a huge amount of respect for the Jewish tradition, because it is also MY tradition. The same is true of any Christian who believes Scripture, and studies the Old Testament and understands who Jesus was.
The reason that most Jews are not Republicans has nothing to do with Christians, IMO. It has to do with the fact that they don't practice their own faith.
It is non-practicing Jews who are liberal because they are Jewish by race only, and not by faith.
Anyone who believes in the Ten Commandments and the Law should be a conservative. They have no more place in today's amoral RAT party than I do.
There are entire synagogues filled with liberal practicing Jews. Rememberances of the Holocaust and cristalnacht and (irrational, mind you) fears of a Christian imposition of beliefs far override the conservative teachings of the 10 Commandments.
And there is a difference between Islam and Islamic fascism, referring to a previous post of yours. Ask the president.
I have wondered why the IDF hasn't landed troops by boat just south of Tyre and circle in behind the Hezbos positions.
It would be a dangerous operation, but I don't think that the Lebonaese Army, which would be to their North in such an operation, have the stomach to fight the IDF.
On the other hand, it might not be more dangerous than the frontal attacks they are using and the element of suprise could end it fairly quickly if the Hezbo's effectively were cut off.
Anyone got any ideas if this might be a good (or bad) plan?
Well as for me and the land I live on: I'm not actively trying to kill the people living on some other land I would like to live on.
Palestinians will never be appeased, so there is no use in trying. All this talk about land is idiocy. God made every last rock and pebble on this planet, so all of it is 'holy' so you put Palestinians on an island (no Muslim country wants them, they are a pain in the butt) where they can bother no-one but themselves. After several generations, they and their grandfathers will have lived on the island, and they will fall in love with their little palm trees.
It is the ONLY solution that will work, so naturally, it will never happen. As for "they won't leave these lands even if alot die" The Israelis would find a way. If "alot die" in the process that would be a shame but at least the bloodshed would be put to an end and families could go to school and shops and restaurants without fear of death because of some land obsessed Palestinian.
I will respect the 'thousands of years' business if and when the Palestinians accept the existance of Israel and stop senseless attacks on the innocent. Stop worrying about Israel, and start being thankful that the Almighty has put a roof over your head and bread in your mouth. Be thankful for what you have!
Patience wears thin... someday, they are going to buy that Island... I am beginning to think so.
