An Israeli soldier maneuvers an armored personnel carrier at their position along the Israeli Lebanese border. Israel was amassing thousands more reservists on the Lebanese border to stage ground incursions aimed at destroying Hezbollah positions, warning it would not rule out a full-scale invasion despite mounting calls for a ceasefire.

Monica quoting an "American military source" that Hezbollah has been taken over by an Iranian gen. Nothing more specific than that.

From the article
http://www.dailystar.com.lb/article.asp?edition_id=1&categ_id=2&article_id=74159 :
Fifth, Nasrallah's most remarkable stand, in addition to ruling out the possibility of civil war, was his keenness on preserving his alliance with Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun.
comment: Here is more information about, dare I say the traitor Aoun.
http://www.aijac.org.au/updates/Jul-05/050705.html This division of forces can be traced to General Michele Aoun, a Maronite Christian and opponent of the Syrians, who, after fifteen years of exile in Paris, returned to Lebanon only about a month before the elections. The General took the decision not to join up with the Hariri family and its partners. Instead, Aoun found allies in figures known for their support of Syria and ran for Parliament on a joint list with them. Thanks to his great popularity in the Christian community, many of the candidates on this list were elected, at the expense of the Hariri camp.

Is Debkaka the only outlet reporting the presence of Iranian Revolutionary Guard and that Farsi's being spoken by some of the combatants the IDF has encountered? I've heard those reports somewhere, but I can't remember which outlet. Though I don't think it was Debkaka.

I wonder if "I'm-A-Nut-Job" informed Merkel and Chirac of this in the letters he sent them.

"Israel ground forces control section of S. Lebanon...with their tales between their legs." Good old Shep. I'm glad I missed that one. Blood pressure, you know.
Has he had a hat blow off yet?

By "in another life", I meant about 48 years ago. Yes, from this world (Tripoli, Lebanon), but I met him at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. I was in high school at the time and his father was a teacher there.
Yep, I'm old.

Who really knows, ever since Monica interviewed Gen. Sada I have followed her show whenever I get the chance. I think overall she is pretty good, but let's face it, old line journalists who actually have many reputable sources are hard to find these days.

Well, maybe Shep's related to your old boyfriend. How else would you explain his obvious bias. Fox news needs to can him.

When I was in school, if a guy took typing class, he also might as well have added Home Economics to his class schedule, wear a dress, and go out for the cheerleading squad.
Now I wish I could type better. My wife is a typing wiz. She calls the way I type, the "Christopher Columbus Typing Method".....

I'm a guy, and I won the typing competition at my high school when I was a junior. 73 wpm/2 errors.
I can still hear my teacher telling us, "Hands on home-row keys, eyes on copy!"

(So the guy says to the doctor, "It hurts when I do this.")
A Lebanese fire fighters walks under a satellite dish destroyed by Israeli warplanes after they blasted communications and television transmission towers in the northern Lebanese mountains Saturday, July 22 2006 , knocking off the air a leading private network and cutting phone links to some regions, police said. Fighter bombers fired three missiles at the transmission station at Fatqa in the Keserwan mountains, knocking out transmission antennas. The raid on Keserwan was the first major airstrike in the Christian heartland of Lebanon in the 11-day-old Israeli aerial bombardment, which has hammered mainly Shiite regions in the south and east as well as south Beirut.
