"Hey, what's happening- First of all, I got the cookies the other day. Thanks much- There were so many I sent a bag up to the office, gave a couple others out, and have been offering them to all the passers by in the room. This is good considering the epidemic of crud that's going around.. Orange juice and a couple of homemade cookies are about the best treatment I can muster right now.
Good news about Em.. She must be NEARLY graduated by now.. In any case it sounds like this has been / will be a very productive year for her.
Katie just sent me a large selection of Disney animated movies.. Which came just in time considering my COMPUTER BROKE AGAIN. Yes, that's right. This time it isn't my fault though. Gateway somehow found a way to blame E-Machines for this one. I had hoped to ship the comp. directly to them, but they do not deal with deployed military. This despite a NUMBER of very angry, though not crude, e-mails. So once again I need to request your assistance, though this time I can cut best buy out of the loop. Here's what we worked out: I'm going to send the computer to you. Gateway is going to send an empty box & shipping label to you. You put the two together, drop at a FedEx store, then a week or two later you get the comp back all fixed, and send it back to me. I reiterate, I had hoped that it wouldn't be necessary to make you do this, but they won't budge one iota. Well I can tell you this much, once my warranty is up I'm NEVER dealing with gateway again. I did go ahead and tell Gateway as much. they were "sincerely sorry". ah well.
I'm guessing the show is almost over. Definitely a good thing, I'm sure you earned a break for a while. Well, hang in there tiger- Thanx alot for all the help, talk to you later-"
