Hellooooooooooooooooooooo Infidels! Radio PC-free SAVAGE is on the air!!!!!!!!!!
I tape on cassette, and the reception went bad at that point, so it's not a good rendition of what was said. But still, i think i'll use that line from time to time.
'Hey, don't go all wobbly on us'.
I really don't think he is a decent guy. I remember how he treated that secret service person when he was snowboarding or whatever it was he was doing. I've also heard some story, believe from Mark Steyn on Hugh Hewitt, that he did the "don't you know who I am routine?". He looks down his nose at little people when really he would be nobody without living off of other mens' money.
That's right--you are in the thick of it. I'm sure what you are telling me is true, but my mind finds it hard to believe that any person could find John Kerry a remarkable person. Lefties really are from a different universe.
And I forgot the most important evidence of all to show his indeceny--what he did and said after Vietnam. He's a liar. He's self serving and he would put his own political interests before any interest of this country. He also started to do what he did to the Vietnam soldiers to our guys currently fighting--said they were terrorizing the Iraqis.
Maybe decent was the wrong word. How about, semi-decent, or maybe bad?
I remember those incidents; and he certainly seems to be a snob. Come to think of it, he was a loner with, apparently, no friends in school. He seems quite like a phony too.
I better stop before i REALLY go nuts on the guy.
LOL, in reference to the "don't you know who I am" routine concerning kerry,,,,,,,,the story I heard was as follows, he was in a bar yakking to two women, neither one knew who he was, he was expecting them to fall all over him and when they didn't he got pissed and asked "don't you know who I am", from stories I've heard around here in Boston, believe me, it fits him perfectly, he also has a local nickname, "liveshot" he is famous for finding a live shot/photo op.
I know it's hard to believe, but, it's true and teddy hiccup gets just as much respect, in my local paper we have a section called meet your neighbor where a resident is asked certain questions in order for the rest of us to get to know him/her, some of the questions are, what is your favorite food, movie, holiday, bla bla bla, but the interesting question is "who would you most like to meet" one person said they'd like to meet teddy hiccup, said they found him interesting and he's done sooo much for this state over the last 20 or so years, this resident is obviously out of his mind, ted's been in the Senate for how many years??? all he's done that I can think of is kill Mary Jo Kopechne and in my mind I can't qualify that as sooo much for this state, he's a murderer and anyone who thinks he's interesting and noble is well,,,,there are no words....
Savage's envy of Rush is transparently obvious. I think it has to do not only that Rush has higher ratings, but that Rush really pioneered the concept of nationwide syndicated radio. In light of this, Savage will always feel more than a little intimidated be Rush. I think you are right, though, Savage uses Rush's show as a launching pad for his tirades. He claims to be increasing his audience, I don't see that. I have pretty much quit listening to Savage and I know many others who have as well. He is just about the only talk show host who regularly criticizes other talk shows. That is a stupid idea, because you are giving free advertising to the other guy.
Okay attila-somebody I'll bite, and why should we care how YOU feel about Savage?
Well, we know a lot of people don't like Mr. Savage.
In fact tha vast majority of Americans could care less about him, or any other commentator for that matter.
But who offers more opinions about the issues-and is right most of the time-better than he does: other than RUSH of course.
BTW, i don't think Rush pioneered syndication (i recall Larry King, and some others before him), but he certainly took it to new heights, and opened the Conservative talk arena.
Who wants a clone of Rush, though?
And even if he does listen to Rush sometimes, as conservatives, they are going to agree >80% of the time anyway.
If Savage were a freeper he could very well call himself attiladtongue.
YOU don't have to care a fig about what I feel about Savage. The only reason YOU might object to how I feel about Ole Foaming-at-the-mouth is that YOU must burn a pinch of incense at his shrine.
My only objection is that your comments are void and vacuous and not worthy of Freeper credentials, unless of course you're the #3 ranking freeper on FreeRepublic, afterall this dolt as you call him is the #3 ranking national talk show host. Your resume any better?
Hey, lambaste Savage all you like but some of your points are a little skewded.
Bush messed up the 2nd SC nominee with Miers, WTH.
The Schiavo bill would not have passed.
State-owned oil companies can hardly be criticized like private monopolies.
Bush's border policy is extremely weak.
Anyway, Savage does support many of Bush's policies, but you don't seem to care about those.
Several oil companies, same price, high or low. I realize the proper term is oligopoly, but i wasn't sure where you were going on the oil topic. Re: ANWAR, Bush should have used his power and started it long ago.
Look, Mike talks about borders, language, culture, and on those topics he is solidly conservative. When he ventures into some other areas, sometimes he gets it wrong.
As for being informed by listening to the radio, i think that's a bit of a stretch. A good combo of reading, radio, and especially thinking is important to being informed.
The entertainment factor in radio is, i think, what separates Mike from the rest.
His 'take' on any topic that comes up is usually as good as or better than the rest.
But, yes, i can see where his 'Bush bashing' can annoy a lot of people. But he 'bashes' from the right, not the left, and that is a big difference, and what many people (i'm not saying you) misread.
