It's already "tonight" over there. If true, and they've in any way lost the element of surprise, I'm sure they'll want to express their gratitude to MSNBC. /sarc At least (so far) nobody's drawn a map of the battle plan, but from the way things are leaking, it's only a matter of time.
I think the Israelis lost their element of surprise when they:
1. Spent the last three days urging civilians to get out of southern Lebanon.2. Began amassing huge numbers of troops, tanks and other military assets along the border. Troops and tanks can't be left sitting on roadsides indefinitely, and they are all pointed north. If Israel doesn't plan to back down, those troops and tanks are going to move soon.
