The Israeli special forces use the Tavor..

BTW, the Pentagon is considering the Tavor as a possible replacement to our M-16 rifles, along with the M-8 system

Thats interesting... the Indian Army and Ordnance Factory board has started license producing the Tavor as well.

I like the bullpup design. I was a big fan of the Aug. Never got to fire it but it felt really comfortable.

Caliber? It looks like a copy of the bullpup.

I'd like to see our army look at the .260 Remington. It's a 6.5 mm a little hotter than the 6.5 Swede. It's highly accurate, modest recoil, proven killer, and highly shootable without a lot of blast.

Actually, the tavor is going into pretty regular use for everybody.

Big selling points:

-- the laser goes "off" when the safety goes "on." Saves batteries.

--- lower profile

--- can be easily set up for lefties.

The Tavor looks like a good gun for the US Marine Corps.
