"Seems like it would be hard to scout when some twit from the AP two inches away from your face snapping pics."
Reporter: "What do you feel when you shoot the supposed terrorists?"
IDF soldier: "uh...usually the recoil."

To fight for which side?

By the way, as for the Iranian boots on the ground report you can add Caroline Glick as a source.

See if you can find out where he thinks they are sending him ("southern front?"). He has to go tomorrow and sign forms and will be given his posting then.
He HAS been told that it is to defend Lebanon against "ISRAELI AGGRESSION."

Most unfortunate... Yes, the first thing I said when I heard that was "Not good."
We asked if he was going to go and he said "I have no choice."

One of our contacts in Lebanon has just been called up with the Lebanese Army Reserves there. What do you think of the rumors that the army will side with Hezbolla if Lebanon is invaded by ground?
To: Fitzcarraldo
Israel calling up further reserves, Lebanon calling up reserves, i'd imagine at some point Syria will have to deploy in #s to their western border, not so much to attack (not discounting this by any means) but they are probably going to be a little concerned about IDF presence in the Bekka on their border (in addition to the IDF presence in the Golan)

Not to be an alarmist, but this was the way WWI started: The AustroHungarian Empire Mobilized, then the Russian Empire Mobilized, then Germany Mobilzed, etc. etc. At one point, as I recall, the suggestion was floated to the German General Staff to stop mobilization which they were aghast at because it would throw off their strategy, so things moved on until war was inevitable. At some point, these things seem to take a will of their own...
