It's after 5. The grandkids are gone. I have poured a large martini and told my husband I am following the war tonight. He is free to watch movies or whatever. He nicely ordered a pizza.
I will be here until I get too sleepy (or too tipsy to type...lol).

Aw geez, don't Harrry and Joe know that women are the best at multitasking?
Besides, most of this stuff is intertwined.
They just want to put in an appeaser.

Her primary opponent was making a hugh deal about her being "pro-war" and that is not good in California...
AND, Nancy Pelosi is thinking of replacing her on the Intelligence Committee, WHEN she becomes the Speaker of the House...LOL
But, that is worrying Jane...so she has taken a quick LEFT on the freeway to reelection.

Biden and Reid would do well to remember who the President is and that Senators don't dictate foreign policy to him. The both of them are pathetic.

Systematic, rythmic artillery is THE sign that armor will soon move.
The Israeli guy on the Flyertalk board would know. He's an American who served in US armed forces before he emigrated to Israel, and was a reporter during previous Israeli wars. He put his American flag up on Independence Day, and hasn't pulled it down.
By the way - the Flyertalk thread is no secret - there was an MSNBC.com article about it, and many people are watching it. So I'm not worried about loose lips sinking ships.
FReepers should NOT go over there and inject politics into the Flyertalk thread - they are moderating it heavily to be fairly objective (other than of the two eyewitnesses, Dovster and BEYFlyer) and your efforts will be futile.

I didn't HEAR him...I read that he is advising other Republican candidates to run away from Bush and his agenda as the elections get closer.
What is worse is...he is running for the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairman..which is in charge of this stuff...so he can have a lot of influence.

I'm just in here for a quick second answering pings and to ask if you all saw the FNC report 15 minutes ago that there is a report (?) that Iraq gave their WMD to Syria and Syria has given them to Hezbollah to use against Israel. I think that was Julie Banderas repeating what that Iraqi General has said before (and in his book)...that the WMD were flown out of Iraq on 747's (?) to Syria pre invasion. What's that General's name, I can't remember?

If there is any type of invasion it will be up to the Litani River in Southern Lebanon. However I think Israel may invade form places and not just from its Northern borders with Lebanon. They may go from the center of the South across the beaches and try to encircle Hizballah in a pincer movement having the remaining of the troops coming from the Southern borders.
Also there is a possibility that the IDF can do a very daring incursion in the Southern Suburb of Beirut (Al Dahieyh Al Janoubieh) where it is a very densely populated area (Mostly Shia Muslims) and where Hizballah leadership is located. The Dahieh was bombarded very heavily in the last 10 days and Al Dahieh is adjacent to Beirut Airport so IDF can use the Airport as a drop area.

is this one of the captured soldiers?
DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Arabiya television said on Friday the Israeli army had found the body of an Israeli soldier who had previously been reported missing.
It later said the body was found in southern Lebanon, but gave no more details.
Earlier on Friday, Israel's army confirmed that four soldiers had been killed and several wounded in fierce clashes with Hizbollah guerrillas just inside Lebanon on Thursday.
Israel has so far failed to stop Hizbollah cross-border rocket attacks, despite 10 days of bombardment which have killed 345 people in Lebanon and forced half a million to leave their homes. About 90 percent of those killed were civilians.
At least 34 Israeli troops and civilians have been killed, almost all in fighting with Hizbollah guerrillas or by rockets fired by the Lebanese group.
