those people are enemies of our country and Isreal as far as I am concerned.

they better get a clue. They can go to McDonalds tomorrow and not worry about getting blown up, they should love the USA.

I doubt that Lebanon and Hezb will observe the blackout. Time to hunt up alternative sources. Please be careful what you post however, Israel has worked very hard to darken the theater, cutting comms nets and command and control infrastructure in preperation.

Though it'd take a sat phone and a laptop to access it, no sense allowing this site to be illuminating to people we...do not support.

If you're totally bored, this hilltop 2.3 miles NW of Avivim might be fun to explore.

"Now what have the Swiss done to poor Annan? (he, he)"

Well I figure that when he's in distress that's one place he knows he can seek sanctuary from the troubles of the world..... maybe find some hidden fortunes in numbered accounts.

btw, I'm still here but I'm going to bed soon, REALLY.

Good point - and if any such scumbags happen to be reading these words, somehow, they should crawl away into their ratholes and DIE....... here's hoping there are a lot of fried Hezbo-Nazis in the coming days.

I had to erase my photo of this shot from the evac site. I pointed out that AP photographers were just outside the perimeter shooting with a "real" camera, not a digital, and the Libanese security personell responded that they did not understand. But they made me delete my photos of the copters. WTF!!!

And why were Libonese running security at the U.S. evac site? Because U.S. marines were "too provacative" to be seen on Lebanese soil.

The real marines were behind an outside perimeter, but even there, most security was provided by Lebonese special forces.

Here's a few maps of the Maroun Ras/Maroun al-Ras area we've collected from yesterday's thread.

Google Map (town of Maroun al- Ras is at the arrow)

Israel Overview Map

The part of Israel directly across the border from Maroun Ras is the Meron region. Here's a map of the towns in the region:

The closest Israeli town to Maroun Ras is Avivim. An IDF command post is reportedly nearby.

Wide topo-map of the Avivim area:

Kibbutz Yi'ron is also in the area. Dovster from the Kibbutz has been periodically posting information on this Flyertalk.com Thread, which was featured in an MSNBC.com article.

German, blonde beauties were better looking, but they were Nazis. Ya think that all they needed was "to hear GOD's voice" too?

I remember staying up into the wee hours during OIF on many nights in March and April '03 because that was when a lot of the good stuff was going on.

I was still so innocent then...LOL

And no Katyushas into northern Israel over night!

They don't launch at night because the positions are seen too easily.

A SOLDIER'S NIGHTMARE--AND BDS
By Michelle Malkin · July 20, 2006 11:09 PM
Sgt. Leonid Milkin of the Army National Guard returned home from duty in Iraq earlier than planned today. His wife and two children, along with his wife's sister, were brutally murdered in Kirkland, Wash. The Seattle Times has the report.

Lisa de Pasquale at The Right Angle highlights the unhinged comments of anti-military Bush-haters gloating over the soldier's tragedy. The derangement never ends. Go read the disgusting comments and then take action.

A memorial fund has been set by the family at US Bank under the name "Kirkland House Fire Victims." Also, the Washington National Guard set up a financial assistance fund in Leonid Milkin's name at the American Lake Credit Union in Camp Murray. The account number is 13743:
