I searched the Pennsylvania newspapers and did not find ANY reporting on Murtha's vote on this important issue. The past two Sundays have brought out the Murtha 'puff pieces' -- one in his hometown newspaper (July 9) and another in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (July 16).
Talk about free advertising! The rest of us have to pay to simply get these newspapers to print the truth about Murtha.
Vets For The Truth / BootMurtha.com wants to pop Murtha's puff bubble of there in Pennsylvania. Watch for our next 'Murtha Alert' for details. Coming to an e-mail box near you... SOON!!!

"I searched the Pennsylvania newspapers and did not find ANY reporting on Murtha's vote on this important issue."
The pledge issue is nothing more than pandering for votes. It's not important.

"Protecting the pledge?" Like protecting it from politically-driven *additions* that were made to it... such as, oh, I dunno... "under God?"

He's right ... it needs to be changed. Drop the comma and then it'll be correct.

I'm not a fan of Murtha, but this vote, as has been said above, is nothing more than political BS. "Under God" was not in the originial, and its insertions was, again, political BS.
This is a huge non-issue.

War in Iraq, war in Lebanon, missles in NoKo, nukes in Iran, and Congress decides that the issue that is in dire need of the most attention is... The Pledge of Allegiance.
And they wonder why we think that they're doing a terrible job. Bunch of fat-cat idiots pandering for another go-around at the public trough.

Hey, they are firing up old sparky in Virginia tonight. They should keep it warm for this treasonous moron.
