This is a good commentary on the U.N.'s attempt to tax the world to fund its Millenium Development Goals and other projects.

Just let Koffi or his blue-bereted thugs come to my door demanding payment. It'll be with lead.

The UN is not a world government.

They are an agency or department of an group of nations, nothing more.

No UN taxes!

If the U.N. gets the ability to tax, it will be the worst single development in world history.

Right now the only checks and balances the U.N. has, is funding. End that check, and it's full speed ahead for all of it's goals, including it's own standing army.

>>Should the U.N. be able to tax you?<<

Only the house can initiate tax bills.

Only the Senate can approve binding treaties.

So the answer is no, unless congress betrays us.
