Yeah, I saw that Bush/NAALCP speech, and it wasn't that great. Pandering is an understatement. Blown opportunity to tout some conservative blacks.

He would be preaching to deaf ears. Same thing happens when Walter Reed patients try to talk to Code Pinkos on Friday.

Can't say that he was swayed by any pressure or caved. He just thought after 5 years it was the right thing to do.

Yep, I turned the speech off right in the middle. I just couldn't take the pandering, preachy, whiny, defensive tone....it made me feel so sad and uncomfortable.

The way he put the Republican Party in a bad light made me ill.

Whoever the people are who are writing the President's speeches during his second term should be zotted. The speeches get more and more pathetic with only occasional flashes of interest and acuity.
