Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will receive some high-profile help raising cash Thursday as former President George H.W. Bush headlines fundraisers for him in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley.
The former president will be the "special guest" at both fetes, where a $100,000 platinum sponsorship entitles a donor to head-table seating for two, premiere seating for 10 and six photos with the governor and former president - "two people per photo."
"The governor is very much looking forward to welcoming former President Bush back to California," said Schwarzenegger campaign spokeswoman Katie Levinson, "and he's grateful for his support."
Democrat Phil Angelides, who hopes to deny the governor a second term, is bringing out his party's luminaries for fundraising help, too. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton headlined a $1,000-a-head breakfast for Angelides this month, and former President Bill Clinton will star in an Aug. 1 dinner for the treasurer in Los Angeles.

I ain't a moderate, but you are a liar.
Because we have a real opponent, demonratz. Your only opponents are republicans.
Yeah well another said history does not repeat itself but it does rhyme.
California has never been so liberal and dysfunctional.
Were Arnold not a famous movie star, he probably would not have made it in the first place.
Let's see:
50 states, 5 elections per state since 1988, that's a total of 250 elections.
Out of that you cite some 30 elections, where a R followed a D. Wooppie! In other words, electing a Dem is really great and we should all vote for Angelides, because 12% of the time a Republican actually got elected after a Dem.
You must think everyone on FR is an idiot and will fall for your FALSE claims.
Please explain how Angelides will be more conservative than Arnold, since you are doing everything you can to try to get Arnold defeated and Angelides elected.
You are complaining about Arnold, when on every issue Angelides IS ten times worse and CA can't afford it.
After seeing the CA GOP make the same mistakes over and over again,
one has to wonder if they do it by design.
Oh, that's why you pinged me ;)
Please cite where I lied about anything. If you cannot, recant.
"What is all the "not applicable"? Are you ignoring information you don't like, where Dems followed Dems?"
Let's take a look at the "not applicable" states (since 1988) and why they are so:

Why don't you make me, punk ?
"I ain't a moderate"
That's for damn sure. You're nothing but a liberal puke. Why don't you get lost for good.
My opponents are LIBERALS, which usually include ALL democrats, and some republicans.
When Gray Davis proposed borrowing, I opposed it.
When Arnold proposed borrowing, I opposed it.
I don't care what party is pushing the liberal agenda, I will consistently oppose it.
Don't expect to hang an (R) next to it and make it palatable.
Same sentence, a lie. Besides the fact that I'm not a moderate, I don't slam anyone who doesn't agree. I'm relatively selective about my accusations, and will never attack someone for a simple difference of opinion. I will call a disruptor a disruptor, I'll give you that. Disruptor.
Brilliant. Commend yourself, you represent Tennessee so well.
Oh, why not ...
Make me, punk.
225, actually.
"Out of that you cite some 30 elections, where a R followed a D. Wooppie!"
No, I cited 32 instances in which a Conservative Republican (or one campaigning as one, in fact, you could add a couple more since Whitman and Weld claimed to be so in their races) won a race to beat or succeed a liberal 'Rat. I did not include other Republican victories where they succeeded another, nor RINO liberals succeeding 'Rats (or DINOs). It was a SPECIFIC question that you asked, period.
"In other words, electing a Dem is really great and we should all vote for Angelides, because 12% of the time a Republican actually got elected after a Dem."
I urge no vote for Angelides, NOR do I urge a vote for a liberal Republican. Your puny brain can't comprehend that. And, BTW, 32 instances is MORE than the "2" instances in which a RINO was followed by a Conservative. Were it the other way around, you'd never let us forget that fact. I'm not going to let YOU and the 'BOTS forget it.
"You must think everyone on FR is an idiot and will fall for your FALSE claims."
32 is more than 2. Read it and bite your pillow.
Yeah, sure. You protest too much.
And you represent liberal PUKES so well. Buzz off to DU, Private Pyle.
DU has too many of your kind, thanks anyway.
I never said he would, nor do I believe he would.
...since you are doing everything you can to try to get Arnold defeated and Angelides elected.
No, I'm not! I am trying to hold Arnold accountable and from lurching even further Leftward.
