I couldn't care less what barriers they may or may not have overcome.They served their country bravely,honorably and unselfishly.
For that,they deserve the *deep* gratitude...and respect...of the entire nation!

Great post!!
A few years back, I had the honor of attending a lecture by surviving Tuskegee airmen. It was great!! (Mass. State Police hosted)
Awesome airmen! Admire their service!

They are totally heros at the EAA Convention in Oshkosh, Wi. The attendees of the convention love the Tuskegee Airmen. No two ways about it, they are heroes in American Folklore.
