What a stroke of genius! The Pope has so much say in the Jewish community.

Evidently Saad el-Hariri didn't get the message. The Pope has already urged catholics to pray to Mary for intercession.

You really have to wonder what is wrong with Saad el-Hariri. His father was murdered by the Syrians and he is so afraid of being blown to bits that he and his family live in France. Why would he not want his country to be rid of the vile terrorists?

LOL! I doubt the Vatican has THAT must influence with Israel. If the Papal Nuncio in Israel brings up a Lebanese appeal, Israel's trump card is Nazareth. What could he say in retort? Like I said, Lebanon is still talking and not doing. Mere rhetoric isn't enough to get Israel to stop fighting. Hand over the Israeli soldiers and move to disarm Hezbollah. Its not that hard. And if the Lebanese government is really that weak to act, they're not going to have a country left after its all over.

The Lebanese had plenty of time to purge the jihadis. Instead they gave them seats in government, just like the Paliwackers.

what b.s.
If Lebanon needs someone to complain to they should be sending their emissaries to Damascus, Tehran, and the Arab League demanding that Syria and Iran call off their rabid Hezbollah dogs once and for all.
Other than eliminating Hezbollah as a terrorist force continually attacking Israel, there is nothing else to talk about in this matter. The rest is just hot air......

"According to official Vatican reports, Hariri called on the Vatican to intercede towards halting the ongoing Israeli military offensive." Since when does the world care about what the Vatican says? OF COURSE the Holy Father will work for peace, that's an inescapable part of his divinely appointed job on earth. But the anti-Catholic bigots will want the Pope to say: "peace is not important right now, what's important is that the good guys kill all the bad guys until there are none of them left". So this will just turn out to be another 'opportunity' for Catholic bashers to kick him and the Church around.
To: Bad~Rodeo
The Vatican is their friend. The Vatican already came out against Israel.
