Thank you.... but my service time has past. I have been out for over ten years now. I am though still a loyal marine.

I am very thankful for those that serve us today. May God Bless and protect all the airmen, sailors, soldiers and marines.

OK, but do you get the point I was making? Change "six" to "three" if "six" bothers you.

Oh no, I absolutely got your point and completely agree!!!

I was only saying that a "fetus" at 4 1/2 months, in the womb, looked just like the baby that was born 4 1/2 months later. We are on the same page my FRiend.

"2. We actually won the military campaign in Bosnia with less than 100 American lives lost"

LOL!!! What Ever Happened To Bosnia?

Remember when President Clinton sent American troops to Bosnia in 1995 and said they would only be there for one year?

So, how's the "nation building" going in Bosnia, eight years later? The American contingent commander in Bosnia, Army Brig. Gen. Ron Mason, was quoted in an article on the American Forces News Service as saying there is still much left to do. Mason, commander of the Multinational Brigade (North) and a National Guardsman from the 35th Infantry Division, said the apparent stability in Bosnia is superficial. "There are deep-seated feelings here," he said. He said there is a commitment to peace, but it is tenuous and could easily die. "They need to develop the civilian capabilities that would make this stability continue on its own," Mason said.

"Projected is the operative word. Was that before or after WTC '93, Mogadishu, OKC bombing, Khobar Towers, the attack on the USS Cole, or the economy began its downhill spiral in early 2000?

"4. We had a balanced budget and a surplus!..."

>>>>I stand by what I said.

And so do I.

From time to time I get into debates with people like you over Reagan's handling of the 1983 Beirut bombing. The aftermath that is. It was a tragic event that could have been avoided, had the US military set down proper rules of engagement. The lack of overall security is what doomed the Marines. US overseas security policy changed after that attack and rightfully so.

OTOH. I find it pathetic, that when challenged on this issue, no one ever offers a rational alternative to Reagan's response. Even though they have 20/20 hindsight to assist in their judgment, people never seem able to back up their arguments with sound analysis. Ignoring the historic facts is just an easy way out.

Marines I've spoken to over the years have anger and frustration with Reagan's response. You're rebuttal is unique. First time I ever heard anyone calling themselves a Marine actually say, they have no respect for Reagan because of the Beirut bombing. The man who rebuilt the US militart, advanced SDI and won the Cold War, is disrespected by US Marines! I don't buy it.

Btw, the last time I checked, Marines were still members of the US military. Just like the Air Force, Army and Navy personnel.

>>>>Marines have a different mindset ...

Obviously, when it comes to Reagan, some Marines do.

>>>>Osama has publicly stated the withdrawal (retreat) from Beirut and the withdrawal (retreat) from Somalia has strenghened their resolve.

I might agree with you on Clinton's cut and run actions in Somalia, but frankly, its best you don't continue buying into terrorist propaganda from Osama&Company. Beirut was an altogether different set of circumstances.

IMHO, I believe the first attack on the WTC in 1993, was the seminal event that emboldened the terrorists. That was followed by the Kohbar Towers attack, the twin east African US embassy attacks and the attack on the USS Cole. Followed by the 9-11 attacks, which took place on Bush43`s watch, as CIC.

Look out!! Here come the BushBots!

Can you tell me what is wrong with being a Bushbot?

I support the President on nearly every decision he has made. I can not agree with someone one hundred percent of the time but by God, George W. Bush has made a lot of the same decisions I would have made. I must say I did not support his plan for Immigration. I started to but I changed my mind. For crying out loud, Bill Clinton agreed with Dubya on Immigration. And I will tell you that I don't understand why Dubya can not see that it is time to reconsider his position when Bill Clinton is agreeing with him.

In any case, I stand for the President and I am damn glad Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Kohn Kerry, Hillery, or any other Commie pimp is not my President. I think those people I just mentioned are all hacks who can not make a tough decision.

Dubya made a few tough decision and I stand behind them. I am proud of my President and I am going to just go right ahead and consider myself a Bushbot unless you can explain to me why I shouldn't? I want to know why people can not sing my Presidents praise without having someone start busting chops.

BTW everybody, here is some good info on the subjecto of embryo stem sell research:

Women dressed as ladies, not some whore that had just gotten off work.

I saw one of those (the later) just the other day. A girlfriend visiting a neighbor's son. The skirt was so short it didn't even fall below the bottom of her bum from which I could tell she was (hopefully) wearing a thong (though that is very doubtful). Perhaps I made her feel self-conscious because when I saw her a bit later she was at least wearing proper undergarments or maybe she was finished with rendering services. It was simply ridiculous.

IMHO, perhaps God would want SO WE COULD INDEED SAVE MORE WHO CHOOSE TO LIVE!

Under this thinking, you should be killed so your organs and tissue can be harvested. After all, many die every year waiting for transplants and even more live a poor quality of life. You being allowed to live deprives potential life and improved life for dozens of people who are suffering and dying. You are only one life - aren't dozens of people worth more?

Right. If money is going to be spent on something, do it on something that will actually work. The research on on adult stem cells and those obtained from the umbilical cord show much promise and have had many successful applications. Expanding the research on a method that actually works would make much more sense than research on creating an industry in which human life is created to be destroyed.

The media and the far-left have spun this to just saying "stem cells" in the embryonic stem cell debate and many people are completely unaware that stem cells can be obtained from adults and umbilical cord blood and that research on those stem cells is far more promising than that of embryonic. The motivation behind this bill was to create another cash cow for the abortion industry and its allies, not about helping people. The same way many of these abortion advocates are not about "women's rights", but about making cash off of killing babies.
