Oh the humanity !
Did you ever fart in your non-smoking room?
Do smokers complain about women's dousing themselves in $1/quart perfume, and standing in a crowded elevator polluting a smoker's airspace?
Get a grip....the whining and attacks on others (smokers) is so in-grained now that it's approaching class warfare status.
It's PC to be anit-smoker, and your right to eating fat food will be your reward when the "fat police" take over (after the next appropriation of the Lawyers' Class Action Suit takes away another free choice from Americans, at the expense of consumers).
Don't get too attached to sitting in front of a fireplace in your own home, either, as the "clean air" tree-huggers will take that choice from you in the future, too.
Wake up America, and get a life.
For some with allergies (a few members of my family), a stay in a room with even a slight smoke smell can be extremely unpleasant.
Actually, I do complain about excessive perfumes (which can be much worse than a whiff of cigarette). There have been many times I've had to be reseated at a restaurant because of the cloying stench emanating from the next table. The waitstaff are invariably sympathetic since they have no choice but to endure the olfactory assault while serving them.
Rather defensive aren't we?
In high school, I chewed tobacco. When the smokers would light up at a urinal in the rest room next to me and blow smoke in my face, I'd retaliate by spitting a big wad of tobacco juice on their shirt. They learned real quick.
You are actually expressing anger over the fact that others do not sit and take it when you pollute their air and stink up their clothes.
Your selfishness, lack of social grace and desire to be a jerk towards others is amazing.
This has nothing to do with being PC.
Your attitude suggests that bullies should have the right to walk down the street and punch people in the face without any complaints from the recipient.
As long as the government doesn't get involved, every non-smoker has the right to tell you they don't like your pollution.
And yes, you have the right to complain about perfume too. It's the way the world works.
Bravo!! I was getting a little tired of the holier than thou superior attitudes. Even from smokers.
