Going out on a limb here to dampen everyone's enthusiasm about nuclear holocaust, but while Ahmadinejad is a lunatic, the mullahs who actually run Iran aren't. They won't let him launch any fireworks because, like most Islamic clerics, they're more than willing to sacrifice someone else's son or daughter but they value their own hides.

Let us hope that Amadenjijad is just talking tough, playing politics, to make Iran sound like the leader of the ME.
But, while Iran may not want to directly nuke Israel, what if they covertly pass on a nuke or two to their terrorist buddies?
Given the accessibility of nuclear technology, and ME oil money, I can't help but think that we are going to see some city, hopefully not in the USA, get fired in the next few years if not sooner.)

Boy are you out of date. Ahmadi-Nejad and his IRGC (Revolutionary Guard) colleagues have filled every top position in the Executive Banch, control the paramilitary and military and the old timers like Supreme Leader Khamenei have become figureheads though protocol still runs things through them.
They do not dare say no to him from fear of being arrested by HIS people for dereliction of Islamic duty etc.,
