Hmmmmmmmmm.........
If Iraq had no WMD programs prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom, why did Saddam order them shut down ?
I suppose, but it's not very effective to actually stop the things the law purports to block.
You're right, though, the source appears legit -- should we out him?
Sorry, for got to ping you on #15...
I give up... I meant to say, "I forgot to ping you on #23."
You're posting a link to a Cox cable address? Please.
It's Cox, but hit it with just the IP -- it's a legitimate government source. You can backtrack from there and verify...
What, no good? Would you trust http://www.jokeoftheday.com? Maybe we can get them to post it for us.
Gee he really was a good guy....
Cox Cable ? What in hell are you talking about ??
The link goes directly to one of the FMSO documents, which is in pdf format-1 page long.

Before I'm buying this as authentic, I'm going to need a g-root hosted domain name or at least a DoD-owned IP address.
Here you go.When you get to the FMSO site, click entry on top right for documents. Go to all documents, type in the document number I provided, and have fun.

By the way, I truly don't much care what you accept or don't accept, and am tired of dealing with you.
Okay ?
Smile and have a wonderful day.
Saddam and the others must be quickly executed. Until they are dead the turmoil will not cease.
Correct. And I did ask the admin moderator to remove it because I found later on that this was simply a decree form Saddam per UN requirement to do so.
hmmmm
Wait a minute. Granted, the explanation that Saddam was just following orders from the UN and wrote the order is acceptable. At the same time, how is this not any type of confirmation that he actually had the programs when Saddam has been vehemently maintaining he has NOTHING the entire time? Why would he just sign this order, its just seems uncharacteristic if he had nothing, it would be like admitting to a crime he didnt do (in his mind).
I thought exactly the same when I translated and posted this document on FR. However one freeper pointed it to me that that was not any top secret letter but rather an open letter by Saddam to satisfy UN requirement.
I still think its holds value and shouldnt be set aside. Was it confirmed? Was an official document with identical text ever found anywhere else? I would assume it can be found on the UN website if that were the case. Possibly a news story about it. Ill take a look.
I doubt it was a public letter. I cant find anything on the UN site reflecting this "open letter." It does say top secret on it and it isnt even in letter form. It is obviously an order form Saddam himself.
Either way, this should be confirmed , I'm suprised it was blown off so quickly. Even if it was made under pressure of inspections, he is basically confirmng that he had WMD production and research as of 2003. Either that, or he just completely strayed from his stance that he had nothing whatsoever to satisfy the UN. Then again, why top secret?
