There weren't any pictures of the candidates, or dollar bill icons next to her name. Her constituents couldn't figure out who to vote for.
oh...with Georgia the biggest state east of the Mississippi, and so many counties, Dade is one I never heard of.
Dade County Georgia. Dade County once seceded from the state of Georgia and became it's own little state.
A bit of history........
Shortly after the Georgia State Quarter was released, Dade County gained attention over an apparent mistake in the quarter. The outline of the state of Georgia on the quarter appears to have accidentally left out Dade County, which is in the extreme northwestern part of the state.
It is rumored that Dade County was intentionally left off the quarter because a local politician threatened to secede from Georgia if the state did not secede from the Union. The county passed a resolution in 1945 to officially join the Union, 80 years after the end of the Civil War.
Cagle 9,284 55.5
Reed 7,446 44.5
4% precincts counted
I looked Dade County up, can't believe I never heard it it or Trenton. Definitely a beautiful area.
DeKalb hasn't reported one stinkin vote yet.
About 50% of Cobb came in and Cagle is winning that county. If Gwinnett shows something similar, this race is over for Reed.
We've always had to do that here in Dunwoody.
We've always done that, at least in the past 6 years that I can recall.
Neither has my county- Gwinnett.
What!? That's not even in her district, is it?
Good for you. I'm just hoping an avalanche of Republicans did the very same thing. They must be worried in the McKinney 'camp,' because they're ratcheting up the Diebold excuse already (the machines defrauded me, they did!)
The coworker probably assumed you make electoral choices the same way she does.
