It will take at least one major attack in the USA, perhaps something like that in Beslan Russia where just a handful of terrorists killed over 200 people in a high shool, before Americans wake up from their denial that terrorism effects them. And that might not do it. Sad to say.

I submit that it will take massive civilian casualties here at home in attacks that come in rapid enough succession to convince the general public that we need to use all the force available to our military to utterly eradicate the threat, and crush the will and capability of the adversaris to fight, as was done in WWII, without the PC handwringing and bedwetting.

One nuclear detonation might do it. Other than that, it would probably take thousands killed in a series of attacks occuring over at least a month-long period to awaken the American public enough from their variously self-imposed stupors.

And Jimmuh the scalawag wagged his finger about how "mean" and "nasty" the Shah was, and what did we end up with? Something much worse than the Shah and SAVAK. No Hezbollah 30 years ago infiltrating terror cells in the US, shooting rockets in to Israel, blowing up 241 U.S. Marines, etc., etc.

Jimmuh should not get 72 virgins that look like Helen Thomas when he passes on. What he should get is an eternity of having to eat broccoli, saukerkraut, prunes, and instant grits while continuously looking at pictures of every American, Israeli, and other innocents murdered by Hezbollah and hearing "You just HAD to overthrow the Shah, didn't you! You just couldn't mind your own business!"
