A 21-year-old man in Orlando, Fla., is accused of punching a mounted police horse in the face, according to Local 6 News.

Police said Korey Carter, of 3773 Atrium Drive, was arrested over the weekend and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer.

The report said Carter was observed punching the police horse in the face with Deputy Chief Eugenio Bernal sitting on top of it.

Carter was booked into the Orange County Jail and released on bail.

For real?!?!?! Oh please.

Anytime one assaults an officer's horse or dog, it is the same as assaulting the officer himself.

After closely studying this Guy's picture, and considering that he has spent a lifetime of listening to Rap "music".I have come to the conclusion that maybe he was just engaging in forceful foreplay.

It never ceases to amaze me how low some scum will sink. Cruelty to dumb animals ranks right below child molestation in my book.

Virginia has "Horse Enthusist" theme license plates. On the left side of the plate there is the likeness of a horse's head. The other day I saw one that was also a vanity plate and it read:

P TOOT

charged with battery on a law enforcement officer.

gotta love it - the horses are official 'officers' - same as a police dog.

Good idea but he shouldn't be allowed to use a pooper scooper or gloves.

Which is HorsheS*** !!

That kind of thing never should have become law.

Such rules are ridiculous and blur the distinction between human and animal. Not to mention demeaning the citizen by placing him on the same legal level as the overseer's horse.

Officer should have turned the horse around and let it "punch" back. When a horse lets fly with it's metal-shod hind legs, it delivers a blow that would be quite suitable for this perp.

The law gives the basically the same protection to animals working for law enforcement as to humans. Discourages slimebuckets from shooting police dogs that are pursuing them, or tripping horses that are working crowd control. One of the strategies that the protesters at the Republican convention in NYC had up their sleeves was to throw bags of marbles under in front of police horses, to cause them to fall (and most likely break their legs and have to be euthanized). I think they ended up not doing it, because the PETA types within their ranks objected, but apparently there were plenty of them who thought it was a great idea.

Too bad the horse didn't haul off and stomp his sorry *ss. Of course, then they probably would have had to put the horse down. Can you charge a horse with cruelty to animals? Doesn't seem fair, does it?
