THIS is the guy you fans are making such a big deal about? What exactly has you all so impressed? Granted I like the pro-life position, but this sure looks like a case of "All hat, no cattle" to me.
Who else we got?

Allen is the second best that we have for 08.He would make a much better nominee for conservatives than Romney or even Newt.Allen is not perfect..but he deserves respect. His Pro-life position is his weakest,IMHO, he has been good on spending and great on taxes and Judges.

He meets two of the most important criteria in presidential elections these days:
1. He's from a southern state.
2. He's about as inoffensive as any candidate I've ever seen.
Point #2 is far more important than most people realize. American voters will almost always prefer a candidate who is reputed to be marginally intelligent or even one with deep-rooted psychiatric problems (see Bill Clinton) over one who comes across as highly intelligent and has superior qualifications -- IF the latter candidate is not an affable fellow who people are willing to see in their living rooms on television for the next four years.

Tancredo kicked his ass in the FR poll but, other than the illegal immigration issues, I don't know dick about Tom.

Conservatives only on this thread. Thanks. Moderates are being paged to the pro-Guiliani threads.

I don't think voters are going to want another Good Ol Boy with a southern accent. Two in a row are enough for me.
