There are a number of tactics that "law" enforcement has created, in blatant contravention of basic rights, in order to enforce the WoD, such as the no-knock warrant, extensive use of anonymous informants, confiscation, and outright military assaults; in addition, the corruption of police made possible by the WoD, as it did during Prohibition, encourages the "blue wall of silence" about misconduct. By simply placing an illegal drug on your person or property they can essentially strip you of any rights or steal anything you own. Because police can use such tactics as the no-knock entry/assault, your right to own a firearm is effectively negated. You have no way to be certain of the difference between a cop and a criminal home invader, until it's too late. If you fire at cops who behave as invaders, they will kill you and claim you started it.

In brief terms, the powers claimed by law enforcement in the WoD cannot co-exist with individual firearm ownership and self-defense, because many of those tactics could easily appear to the self-defending individual as criminal assaults against which he can legally defend himself. With such government powers, the individual can never be certain when it is legal to defend oneself until it is too late to matter.
