If we accept this analogy, it remains to be seen whether President Bush commits any impeachable offenses--such as perjury and obstruction of justice--while defending himself.
And then it would remain to be seen whether the left would squeal about it, after they insisted that Clinton was within his rights to do the same.

Jones never could prove that then-Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton hurt her career as a state worker after he allegedly sexually harassed her. Gads, do we need to go around and around with what an out-of-court settlement actually means?

Paula Jones was the victim of a sexual attack/harassment.
Valerie Plame is the victim of her own vivid imagination and puffed up sense of self-importance.
Yeah, that's the same. Phew

It is all such a scam. That has been proven. Some people will do anything for fame and money.

It's a good shorthand equivalence for moderate-to-liberal readers, who were taught by the MSM to think Jones had no case and can easily mentally equate Valerie Plame's lawsuit to Jones's, despite the MSM's sudden shift in tactics in an effort to blow it up into the Trial of the Century. A good tactical article for the conservative cause, regardless of the merits of the respective cases.

" Jones was sexually assaulted. What does Val say was done unto her?"
Well she presumably has had to have sexual relations with Joe Wilson. That's almost as bad.

Paula Jones fights off a rapist and Valerie Plame is going for her fifteen minutes of fame. Yeah, that's about equal in the eyes of the left. Typical!

B.S... Paula Jones REALLY was a victim....Plame/Wilson are self serving and treasonous.

Val needs to get a clue.
Maybe we should file suit against her for threatening our security.
How many dates did it take for her to reveal to Joe that she was super-secret? Two?
How many other pigs are there?

Memo to the Chronicle:
No, she's not.

The analogy ends here. Paula sued the President; Valerie is not suing the President. End of analogy.

Why insult Paula Jones? Paula Jones' case was a political case. She waited years to file it, and would not have filed it at all had it not been for Klayman, et al, who wanted to use her as a vehicle to embarrass Clinton.
Debra Saunders is a solid conservative writer, and her analogy of Plame-to-Jones is apt.
