I'd say that whether or not he is Jewish is irrelevant. He is from Maine so his brain is mush and he doesn't know what he is or where he is.

Cohen is a Jewish name and most people with that name are descended from the priestly tribe (Aharon or Aaron). To this day a Kohain (any such descendant) must obey certain special commandments and has certain important roles in synagogue services.

He's probably Jewish unless his mother is not.
