Whatever happens, Israel must not use its military might to win back what it has already chosen to lose: the buffer zone in southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip itself... Until [the Islamofacists in Iran and elsewhere] change their view, the longest war of the 20th century will persist deep into the 21st. It is best for Israel to hunker down. This jackass is living in Fantasyland.

The "British" Balfour Declaration pre-dates 1948; tied to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and alliances formed, decisions taken during WWI regarding Middle East.

Id like to build the world a home
And furnish it with love
Grow apple trees and honey bees
and snow-white turtle doves
I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
I'd like to hold it in my arms and keep it company
I'd like to see the world for once
All standing hand in hand
And hear them echo through the hills
"Ah, peace throughout the land"
People like this arschloch Cohen are going to get us all killed.

.... what this article leaves out is that the settlement of the European Jews in Palestine was done legally. They, and their sponsors bought land to settle on from the relevant authority of the time....the Ottoman Turks....they paid their way. they took nothing. so the settlement of the Jews itself was not a mistake....it was the fanatic reaction of the Palestinians and other Arab neighbors that was a mistake. And it still is a mistake. This situation will be resolved when those people recognize that this situation is their own fault. Or perhaps they could blame the old Turks who sold the place. No one wanted it at the time. Well, no one in authority anyway. This rebellion is really a rebellion against civilization and civil authority itself.

Much easier to say Israel is a mistake than to step up to the plate and do your human job thingy and support a fellow man being persecuted....sheesh libs are hardly worth their breakfast......

Hey, Post: God doesn't make mistakes, but newspaper editors do.

History is being written as we speak. Cohen and other terrorist enablers like him are going down, along with the terrorists.
Words and deeds, Dick. Words and deeds.

The greatest mistake Israel could make at the moment is to forget that Israel itself is a mistake.Since Israel is condoned and decreed by G_d, Richard Cohen now proclaims he is smarter -- and greater -- then G_d.

Tony Judy wrote an
article titled "Israel - the alternative" in which he proposed that Israel as it exists today should disappear to be replaced by a "binational" state. How nice of him to shame Holocaust deniers.

At the rate he's going, I'm skeptical that back-peddling however fast . . . will rescue him from a rapid slide into the fires.

As I recall DNA studies have affirmed this and affirmed that said bloodline is more pure than other Jewish bloodlines.
Don't have a ref. I think I read it on FR.

told him by his reasoning America is a mistake...we should give S Dakota to the Sioux, Louisiana to the French and Mr Cohen's house to whatever Indian tribe camped on that land 200 years ago. Oh, I also called him a fat bourgeois coward.

So far not much. If something like this - in a major US paper - gets a pass, we're in BIG trouble as a country.

Have sadly known that for at least 3 decades. And it's gotten a LOT WORSE in those 3 decades.
As Scripture speaks of our era . . . Good called bad; bad called good . . .
Soooooo outrageously as this example illustrates.
Thanks tons for your energetic efforts in behalf of our Republic and of Israel.
May God bless and reward you and your family enormously.
