I'm listening to the Howie Carr show on WRKO in Boston and they are covering a press conference by the MA Governor and he says all of the bolts in the Ted Williams tunnel require repair. Unbelievable!

Mass arrests are called for here.
To: Reaganesque
how are they going to do this? there will be lane closures there, on a constant basis, for years and years to fix them all.

Apparently they are going to add additional bolts to the concrete slabs instead of replacing them.

Mass arrests are called for here. Mass executions would be even better. Preferred method: crushing, by concrete ceiling panels from the tunnel.

I guess the unions will go to any lengths for job security.
The Big Dig is turning into a lifelong welfare program for Boston.
Or others can call it a rat hole that crooked politicians are funneling tax payer money down for their own political gain.

I suppose they could just add bolts, with the epoxy this time. Hopefully. But wouldn't that weaken the concrete? Unless they're going to replace the slabs, too?

Another 5 years of "good jobs at good wages" for loyal democRAT union thugs combined with $5 tolls ("but the bondholders *must* be paid") will make for the loss of an additional 100,000 jobs and a loss of an additional 250,000 productive residents for my (soon to be ex) home,The Gay State.

1,454 bolts in all.I'd like to know, just for the record when all is said and done, how many of those either had no epoxy or too little epoxy. Out of the 1,454.

And if they're going to replace all the bolts, what are they going to do with the ones that were epoxied properly? Won't those have to be cut out somehow?

Romney (discussing the bolts): ...This is steel to steel...(turning to Transportation Sec.) What do you call this? A Deadhead?
Howie Carr (talking over the audio): A Deadhead or an Amarello.
To: Reaganesque
$14 billion for that??
But no $4 billion for the border wall??
