Good interview with state department spokeswoman on Fox now. The most helpful thing she saiad was that people who can't get through to the embassy in Beirut (because of overload on computers, etc.) can have their relatives in the US go on line and register them. She also said that people should stay put because roads are impassable and it is dangerous to try to get out overland right now. They ARE working on a plan to evacuate Americans.
I don't have a disclaimer, so I'm out as of now. I have a slow dial-up and can't keep a lot of windows open, and can't see pings and things while sitting on one live thread, so hope to catch other news while I'm here.
I just wouldn't want to be in Iraq working when someone from "home" is here lurking and not talking to me, so I always try to say something to you, A. I had hoped because our Jewish community here (my neighborhood) is so large and active, we would have some good media info, but maybe not. See all y'all threadbirds later. Thanks for teaching me lots!
the good news is that the 460 is in the Van....little victory...NOW BACK TO WAR!!!!!
Oddly enough I did hear that- I was surfing and sat there with my jaw on the floor...he's gone over the edge.
What's funny is that MSNBC uses Pat as a cconservative/Republican voice. Nothing could be further from the truth. He's an anti-semite to the core.
Things are fairly quiet in Israel/Lebanon. Is that good or bad?
Allegra, when will you get out of Iraq?
I'll never complain about OUR border again.
You should realize that this thread started in the middle of the night...when all the news shows were only showing "old" video and reruns of information alread filtered here.
That may explain why there so much blather early on here.
Sorry for contributing to it, btw.
Israeli ground forces in Lebanon per Fox...
Fox "new alert" (without the little sound thing...but he said it) saying Israel now has boots "on the ground in Lebanon"
BREAKING: Israeli boots on the GROUND in Lebanon...per FOX
Rebel - I hope you saw this report from Miss Marple:

If you need us to do anything for you, let us know.
Were you MORE offended by him that you usually are? Did you feel like he was just off the wall and completely wrong -- not just wrong but DEAD wrong and vicious?
FNC reporting that Israeli ground troops have now entered Lebanon.
Per FNC: Israeli forces (no number specified) have entered Lebanon.
Source: read from the wire on Fox News.
(Go Israel Go! Slap 'em down Hezbullies.)
Thanks...watching FOXNEWS right now.
I actually thought he was unhinged, Howlin. He was so emotional about it..it was as though we were able to look into "the essential Pat"...remarks like - we have no PROOF that Syria is behind any of this. Jed Babbin (in rebuttal) was BESIDE himself pointing out the absurdity of Pat's rant.
Reuters: Israeli aircraft shot down. Developing...
