PING for an interesting development.

(Of course, given it's the NY Times, I don't quite know what to believe. Any comments from those recently or now in Iraq?)

Zzzzzz....{snap!} Oh...that's right...there's still a war in Iraq. I keep forgetting. :-)

Actually, this article more closely resembles the truth than most NYT garbage. Most of the Sunnis are cool. It's just the Saddam loyalists we have to watch and they appear to be shrinking in number.

They do want us to stay and they need protection primarily because of the Iran-infested Mookie Sadr scum Mahdi militia and all of the trouble they're stirring up around here. They have become VERY active over the last two or three weeks and need to be quashed. In my opinion (which I have maintained since 2004), Mookie Sadr needs to join Zarqawi in Hell.

We hear explosions and firefights almost every day, sometimes several times a day from the direction of Sadr City. It's the Sadr scum continuing its quest to divide the Sunnis and the Shiites.

FYI - most of the Shiites are opposed to Sadr and his Iran-loving scum as well. But Sadr still has enough vermin in his militia to cause quite a bit of trouble.
