I did not identify the person in the 1979 photo as Ahmadinejad.

Gen. Alexander Haig was on last evening. He was succint, and a firebrand. I haven't heard such words out of anyone in a long time.
Loved it.

Chris Dodd didn't make a jackass out of himself on FOX News Sunday!
Chris Dodd's Mama gave birth to a jackass roughtly 60 some odd years ago, and little Chrissy has been working on perfecting what he was born as ever since.

When you made the comment that Ahmadinejad was one of the students, the picture you posted for that comment is the picture most people use to declare he was there.
In fact, He did not want to take over the US Embassy at all, he wanted to take over the Soviet embassy and had to be convincee to take over the American one, instead.
I thought you were posting that picture to bolster your comment, with his picture posted after to make your point more forceful.
Oops!

Dodd understands completely.
He does not want the idiot public to understand, and because we have NO mass free press to correct him, (he knows this), he will make sure Americans remain idiots.

Damn, I had to mute this a@@ myself. I have never heard such a moron in my life.

Yep, he just yakked and yakked and yakked...while Allen just quietly waited and acted like what I thought a senator should act like...dodd what a complete creep.

I thought you were posting that picture to bolster your comment, with his picture posted after to make your point more forceful. No problem. My point was simply that Chris Dodd has apparently forgotten the weakness America showed in 1979 by its pacifist Democrat president Carter, and that that was a turning point for Islamofacists.
If Carter had had a pair of brass ones, he would have whacked the Shiite out of those Muslim terrorists, and Ahmadinejad, one of the "students" responsible for that act of war might be with his 72 virgins instead of trying to foment another war with Israel.

When Dodd was talking, I tried to imagine that I was an uniformed member of the electorate and not a devout student of the EIB Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies. I think I would still not believe a word Dodd said because he implied that everything in the Middle East was just "hunky-dory" before the eeevvviiilll Bush administration and that "war of choice" in Iraq, and, if America were just smart enough to put his party back in power, everything would be OK again.
I was also impressed with George Allen's calm and gracious demeanor, but I wish he had commented on Dodd's use of the term "war of choice" and mentioned how having 130,000 US troops right next door in Iraq puts us in an even better position to defend Israel should it come to that.
Fred Barnes in the panel segment made another comment that I wanted George Allen to make to Dodd. The Middle East policy of negotiation that the US has had for the past 40 years has led us to the point at which we find ourselves today - fighting Muslim terrorists. You can not "negotiate" with people whose stated objective is the annihilation of Israel and whose current maps do not even show that the nation of Israel exists!

Thanks for your service; I was only a kid when all that went down, but I remember it vividly. Your words and testimony need to be heard again and again.
You can bet the children growing up today haven't heard much about what happened in those months from 1979-1981.

Word is they perfected a secret recipe for "Waitress Sandwiches" served with Scotch Au jus and other ingredients. Served in the booth or on the floor of a DC restaurant.
Floor show must have entertained other clientele....
And despite a superior resume, reading suggests Papa Dodd wasn't a world beater.

"He opened his mouth."
I love it, so true. Always amazes me how many Democrats are more than willing to hop on Fox News and expose their idiocy.
